Abstract: A method of estimating timing of at least one of the beginning and the end of a transmitted signal segment in the presence of time delay in a signal transmission channel. Each of a sequence of signal frames is provided with a pseudo-noise (PN) m-sequences, where the PN sequences satisfy selected orthogonality and closures relations. A convolution signal is formed between a received signal and the sequence of PN segments and is subtracted from the received signal to identify the beginning and/or end of a PN segment within the received signal. PN sequences are used for timing recovery, for carrier frequency recovery, for estimation of transmission channel characteristics, for synchronization of received signal frames, and as a replacement for guard intervals in an OFDM context.

Abstract: A system for transmitting information as frames in digital format between users on a network using a single frequency and TDMA and/or CDMA communications. Broadcasting, multicasting and unicasting are provided, and communications may be part of a downlink and/or an uplink signaling scheme that allows user-user and user-central station communication. A synchronization segment or pre-amble for a frame may include identification of the source and/or the intended recipient. Walsh, Haar, Rademacher coding of selected frame components, among others, can be incorporated. Reed Solomon encoding, signal interleaving and intra-leaving, trellis encoding and turbo encoding are used for error detection and correction. The system provides two-way communication with the Internet and/or with a cellular network and/or for smaller networks of users.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a device in a User Equipment (UE) and a base station for wireless communications. A UE receives first information, the first information being used for indicating M DCI blind decoding(s); monitors a first-type radio signal respectively on each of S sub-band(s) in a first time-domain resource; and performs at most M1 DCI blind decoding(s) of the M DCI blind decoding(s) on the S sub-band(s) in the first time-domain resource. Herein, the first-type radio signal detected on the S sub-band(s) is used for determining the M1 DCI blind decoding(s) out of the M DCI blind decoding(s). The above method allows the base station to make dynamic adjustments to the UE's blind decoding on PDCCH resources according to LBT results, ensuring that sufficient PDCCH resources are available and not too many PDSCH resources are preempted, and that excessive blind decodings can be avoided.
