摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for disposal of liquid and food into a sink basin. The disclosed system cooperates with and delivers the received waste material to the main waste system on-board the vehicle. This is typically an aircraft waste tank. The system does not require a manual flush, but includes a sensor system that activates drainage of the holding line when the liquid and/or other waste material reaches a certain level therein. The disclosed system combines the functionalities of a common galley sink and a galley waste disposal unit, but occupies only the space envelope of an existing galley sink. The use of an existing galley sink means that no additional space on the countertop is required.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a grey water flush system for use with vacuum toilets. One embodiment of the system provides a two-stage flush that uses a transient tank in between the toilet bowl and the main aircraft waste tank, which reduces the noise level associated with the flush process because a lesser vacuum is demanded for the first stage of the flush. Embodiments of the system further capture grey water from a sink basin in a reservoir and use that water in the toilet flush process. There is further provided a lavatory odor removal system option that is activated during the second stage of the flush.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a water management system for use on board a passenger transport vehicle. The water management system may be used to address and manage excess humidity, water leaks, or any other instance when water or other liquid may collect at a certain location. The disclosure provides a system for managing excess water and for optionally delivering the water to another location. The removal location may be a disposal outlet or it may be a beneficial use of the collected water on-board the vehicle.

摘要: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for treating passenger transportation vehicle cabin surfaces and surrounding air. The methods may use organic LEDs to produce ultraviolet light. Systems may be provided to ensure safety and operation of the air treatment only when passengers and personnel are not present in the cabin.

摘要: Embodiments provide systems and methods for improving in-line water heaters. Certain embodiments find particular use on board aircraft, other air travel vehicles (such as helicopters or aerospace vehicles), or any other vehicles that experience varying temperatures. The in-line water heaters described are self-regulating and use a temperature dependent resistance element to detect water temperature instead of a temperature sensor.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a water treatment device that can treat water at its point of use. For example, the water treatment device may be positioned at or near a faucet outlet, so that water can be treated immediately before it leaves the faucet. The water treatment device may be a water treatment reactor with a plurality of UV LEDs positioned between a shield and a heat sink component.

摘要: Disclosed is a fuel cell fluid purification system. The fuel cell fluid purification system can include a fuel cell system configured to receive a hydrogen input comprising hydrogen, receive an oxygen input comprising a first fluid having an initial concentration of oxygen, and convert the hydrogen input and the oxygen input so as to yield a number of outputs. The outputs can include a water output comprising water, a heat output comprising heat, an oxygen-depleted output comprising the first fluid having a concentration of oxygen lower than the initial concentration, and an electric output comprising electrical power. The fuel cell fluid purification system can also include a purification system configured to purify at least one of the oxygen input, the water output, or the oxygen-depleted output.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods of managing grey water or other recycled water onboard an aircraft based on demand within the aircraft. In some cases, the grey water is obtained from a lavatory or galley sink of the aircraft and is treated to purify and/or filter the grey water. The treated grey water can be routed within the aircraft according to a control scheme that accounts for demand within the aircraft. For example, some or all of the treated water may undergo electrolysis to produce oxygen gas (O2) and hydrogen gas (H2), some or all of which may be fed into the fuel cell system and used in a chemical reaction to produce electrical energy and other fuel cell by-products that can be directed to various aircraft systems and/or the aircraft cabin/lavatories.
