摘要: A rebalancing reactor for a redox flow battery system may include a first side through which hydrogen gas is flowed, a second side through which electrolyte from the redox flow battery system is flowed, and a porous layer separating and fluidly coupled to the first side and the second side, wherein, the hydrogen gas and the electrolyte are fluidly contacted at a surface of the porous layer, and a pressure drop across the second side is less than a pressure drop across the porous layer. In this way, rebalancing of electrolyte charges in a redox flow battery system may be performed with increased efficiency and cost effectiveness as compared to conventional rebalancing reactors.

摘要: Membrane-based hydrogen purifiers having graphite frame members. The purifiers include a hydrogen-separation membrane module with at least one membrane cell containing at least one hydrogen-selective membrane, which includes a permeate face and an opposed mixed gas face, and a fluid-permeable support structure that physically contacts and supports at least a central region of the permeate face. The membrane cell further includes a permeate-side frame member and a mixed gas-side frame member. The permeate-side frame member is interposed between the hydrogen-selective membrane and the fluid-permeable support structure to physically contact a peripheral region of the permeate face and a peripheral region of the fluid-permeable support structure. The mixed gas-side frame member physically contacts a peripheral region of the mixed gas face. At least one of the permeate-side frame member and the mixed gas-side frame member is a graphite frame member.

摘要: A fuel cell system including: a solid oxide type fuel cell that is supplied with an anode gas and a cathode gas to generate an electric power; a fuel tank that stores a water-containing fuel containing water; a fuel supply passage that couples the fuel cell to the fuel tank; a reformer disposed on the fuel supply passage, the reformer reforming the water-containing fuel into the anode gas; a separator disposed on the fuel supply passage in an upstream side with respect to the reformer, the separator separating the water contained in the water-containing fuel; a detector disposed in the upstream side with respect to the reformer, the detector detecting or estimating a moisture content contained in the water-containing fuel; and a control unit that controls the separator. The control unit controls the separator on the basis of the moisture content detected or estimated by the detector.

摘要: A natural gas fueling system supplies methane gas to an engine and includes a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a gas inlet configured to receive inlet gas and a methane permeable filter configured to separate methane gas and first contaminant gases from the inlet gas. The natural gas fueling system also includes a reformer apparatus configured to convert the first contaminant gases into a reformed gas stream including methane gas. The reformed gas is supplied to the gas inlet and is recirculated through the filter assembly to extract the methane gas from the reformed gas stream.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for capturing CO2 from a combustion source using molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFCs). At least a portion of the anode exhaust can be recycled for use as a fuel for the combustion source. Optionally, a second portion of the anode exhaust can be recycled for use as part of an anode input stream. This can allow for a reduction in the amount of fuel cell area required for separating CO2 from the combustion source exhaust and/or modifications in how the fuel cells can be operated.

摘要: Method and system for producing CO2, purified hydrogen and electricity from a reformed process gas feed using a solid oxide fuel cell. The method having the steps of: introducing the reformed process gas into the solid oxide fuel cell; converting hydrogen and CO of the reformed process gas in combination with oxygen into an anode off-gas including steam, CO2 and unconverted process gas; introducing the anode off-gas into a high temperature water gas shift reactor; in the high temperature water-gas shift reactor, converting CO and steam into CO2 and hydrogen, introducing the gas exiting the high temperature water-gas shift reactor into a low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor, in the low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor, converting CO and steam into CO2 and hydrogen, whereby the low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor comprises a hydrogen pump producing purified hydrogen on a permeate side, while removing hydrogen from a feed side.

摘要: In various aspects, systems and methods are provided for integration of molten carbonate fuel cells with a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process. The molten carbonate fuel cells can be integrated with a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process in various manners, including providing synthesis gas for use in producing hydrocarbonaceous carbons. Additionally, integration of molten carbonate fuel cells with a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process can facilitate further processing of vent streams or secondary product streams generated during the synthesis process.

摘要: Provided is a non-woven filtration material including a multilayer structure having a density gradient. The multilayer structure includes a coarse layer disposed at an upstream side of the non-woven filtration material and a dense layer disposed at a downstream side of the non-woven filtration material. The coarse layer and the dense layer are dry layers. The coarse layer contains 30% to 60% by weight of crimped conjugated fibers and contains 30% to 70% by weight of finer fibers. The crimped conjugated fibers have an average fiber diameter in a range from 15 μm to 45 μm. The finer fibers have an average fiber diameter that is in a range from 5 μm to 20 μm and smaller than the average fiber diameter of the conjugated fibers.
