    Abstract: A motor device and a method for producing same are provided. A connector storage unit (33d) and a substrate storage unit (33c) which are provided in a gear case (31) open in a direction (axial direction of output shaft) which intersects the axial direction of an armature shaft. As a result, when assembling a motor device (10), it is possible to store a connector member (60) and a control substrate (50) in the connector storage unit (33d) and the substrate storage unit (33c), which have comparatively large openings, by insertion therein from the same direction.

    Abstract: A motor device is provided. A grommet member (80) is equipped with a pair of motor-side lip seals (82a1, 82a2) which elastically deform in the insertion direction of an external connector (CN) into a connector member (60), and are adhered to a connector cover part (71) (contact surface 70a) of the cover member (70); hence, it is possible to configure in a manner such that the mounting direction of the grommet member (80) onto a gear case (31), and the adhesion direction of the pair of motor-side lip seals (82a1, 82a2) to the cover member (70), or in other words, the direction in which sealing properties increase, are the same direction.

    Abstract: Each cross-section of the connector member assembling hole and the assembly main body 51a in a direction intersecting the insertion direction has a point-symmetrical circular shape with the insertion shaft center FC as the center. A pair of connector-side female terminals 57a, opposed to each other with the insertion shaft center FC as the center, is provided at the distal end side in the insertion direction of the assembly main body 51a, and a pair of brush-side male terminals, opposed to each other with the insertion shaft center FC as the center and to which the connector-side female terminals 57a are connected, is provided to a portion of the brush holder opposite to the connector member assembling hole. Therefore, it is possible to insert the connector member 50 into the gear case in the state of being rotated by 180 degrees about the insertion shaft center FC, and it is possible to cope with arrangement needs which are different by 180 degrees in a connection direction of the external connector, using one connector member 50.

    Abstract: A wide section 71d which contacts a connector member and positions the connector member relative to a connector housing part is provided in a section where a first securing part 71b of a cover member 70 is provided and is configured so as to be wider than the other parts of the section where the first securing part 71b of the cover member 70 is provided; hence, it is possible to use the wide section 71d in the pressing section (pressing point OP) of an extrusion pin. As a result, it is possible to suppress distortion of the cover member 70 and to sufficiently smooth the welded section (first securing part 71b) of the cover member 70 even when the shape of the cover member 70 is complicated.

    Abstract: A seal member is attached to a cover which occludes a gear case as a housing unit. The seal member is formed of elastomer and integrally formed with: a plate-shaped portion formed into a disc shape which covers the inner surface of the cover; an inner seal portion which is positioned on the inner peripheral edge of a through-hole, and comes into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of an output member; an outer seal portion which is positioned on the periphery of the cover, and comes into contact with the opening end of the housing unit; and anchor portions which latch onto the front surface of the cover via mounting holes provided to the cover. The boundary between the seal member and the cover extends only to the outside of the gear case, and does not extend to the inside of the gear case.
