Abstract: A metal magnetic particle provided with an oxide layer on a surface of an alloy particle containing Fe and Si. The oxide layer has a first oxide layer, a second oxide layer, a third oxide layer, and a fourth oxide layer. Also, in line analysis of element content by using a scanning transmission electron microscope-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, the first oxide layer is a layer where Fe content takes a local maximum value, the second oxide layer is a layer where Fe content takes a local maximum value, the third oxide layer is a layer where Si content takes a local maximum value, and the fourth oxide layer is a layer where Fe content takes a local maximum value.

Abstract: An adhesive layer is in contact with a rising portion of a metal terminal and an outer end surface of a flange portion of a drum-shaped core. A surface of the rising portion that faces the outer end surface is an inclined surface that inclines with respect to the outer end surface. The thickest portion of the adhesive layer is located near a position at which a distance between the inclined surface and the outer end surface is largest. The thickness of the thickest portion of the adhesive layer is 13 μm or more.

Abstract: A coil component includes a columnar winding core and flanges at ends of the winding core in positive and negative X directions and which protrude outward in a Z direction orthogonal to the X direction. A first wire is wound around the winding core. A metal terminal attached to the flange includes a reception portion extending away from the winding core in a length direction. A direction in which a dimension of the reception portion is the smallest in directions orthogonal to the length direction is a thickness direction, and a width direction is orthogonal to the length and thickness directions. The reception portion and the first wire are connected by a melted portion whose maximum dimension in the width direction is larger than a maximum dimension of the reception portion in the width direction and is at a portion away from the reception portion in the thickness direction.

Abstract: A coil component includes a magnetic portion that includes metal particles and a resin material, a coil conductor embedded in the magnetic portion and having a core portion, and outer electrodes electrically connected to the coil conductor. The magnetic portion includes a magnetic outer coating and a magnetic base having a protrusion portion. The coil conductor is disposed on the magnetic base such that the protrusion portion is located in the core portion. The magnetic outer coating is disposed so as to cover the coil conductor, and the bottom surface of the magnetic base includes a recessed portion in an area opposite to the protrusion portion.

Abstract: A composite magnetic material is provided that includes a resin and first magnetic particles provided inside the resin. Each of the first magnetic particles includes a first core comprising a metal magnetic material, and an insulating film that covers the first core. The first core has a substantially flat shape having a short axis and a long axis. A thickness of the insulating film in the long axis direction of the first core is smaller than a thickness of the insulating film in the short axis direction of the first core. In addition, a coil component is provided that includes the composite magnetic material in an element body of the coil component.
