    摘要： To avoid a steering shaft changing its orientation during a frontal collision, an automotive pedal support structure equipped with an operating pedal is disposed behind a dash panel of an automotive vehicle and the steering shaft comprising a universal joint disposed in the proximity of the operating pedal. Provided are a first bracket including first and second side wall portions, a connecting portion and a second bracket pivoted to the first bracket so as to be rotated during the frontal collision. The operating pedal is pivoted to the second bracket. During the frontal collision, the universal joint is longitudinally moved relative with respect to the first bracket while contacting with side surfaces of the first and second side wall portions.

The confectionery can be obtained by aerating a fat-based confectionery mass having a fat content of 30 to 60% by weight such as chocolate to a specific gravity of 0.5 to 1.0 and cutting the aerated mass with a heated wire so that the side surface is perpendicularly to the top and bottom surfaces.

    摘要： A composite tape guide for a cassette tape for a video tape recorder includes a cylindrical tape guide body formed of inexpensive material such as plastic. More than half of the circumferential surface of the tape guide body which contacts a video tape is covered with a sheet member of nonmagnetic material. This material has improved wear resistance and anti-corrosive properties, and exhibits less frictional resistance against the tape than the remainder of the guide body surface. Thus, the guide exterior surface forms a composite of layer of two different materials.

    摘要： The orthoalkylation catalyst for phenols of the invention is one produced by calcining a catalyst precursor comprising basic magnesium carbonate (a) and magnesium oxide (b) optionally together with manganese oxalate (c), the basic magnesium carbonate (a) and magnesium oxide (b) being mixed together at a weight ratio ((a)/(b)) of 20/80 to 80/20. The process for producing an orthoalkylated phenol according to the invention comprises performing a vapor phase reaction of a phenol with an alkyl alcohol in the presence of the above orthoalkylation catalyst so that an orthoalkylated phenol is obtained.The invention enables obtaining an orthoalkylation catalyst for phenols which has high activity and high selectivity, has long catalytic life and exhibits more stable catalytic life than those of conventional orthoalkylation catalysts for phenols. Moreover, by virtue of the use of the catalyst capable of exerting these effects, there can be obtained a process for producing an orthoalkylated phenol which ensures prolonged and constant catalyst regeneration cycle.
