    摘要: A plurality of transmission gates provided in mask circuits each having another transmission gate which connects/disconnects an original signal generating circuit to/from a corresponding piezoelectric element (electrode), and a plurality of voltage waveform detecting circuits respectively connected to the electrodes of the respective piezoelectric elements via the former transmission gates are provided exclusively for the respective piezoelectric elements. In detecting an ejection failure of each nozzle, the original signal generating circuit generates a test drive signal enough to prevent each nozzle from ejecting ink to switch all the latter transmission gates on for a certain time, and then switch them off, and switch all the former transmission gates on, so that an ejection failure of the corresponding nozzle is determined based on the vibration period of a voltage waveform detected by the voltage waveform detecting circuit for each piezoelectric element.

    摘要: The technique is provided that reduces degraded quality in printed results due to nozzles employed to record dots on each pixel in combination with the order in which these dots are recorded on pixels. A plurality of nozzles on a print head are grouped, in order from the nozzles that first reach a point over the print medium, into a first nozzle group, a second nozzle group, and a third nozzle group. During main scanning, certain pixels in main scan lines positioned facing the nozzles of the first nozzle group are targeted for dot recording. All pixels contained in main scan lines positioned facing the nozzles of the second nozzle group are targeted for dot recording. Those pixels among the pixels contained in main scan lines positioned facing the nozzles of the third nozzle group, and that have not previously had dots recorded thereon by the first nozzle group in a previous main scan, are targeted for dot recording. The number of pixels N1 recorded by the first nozzle group and the number of pixels N3 recorded by the third nozzle group in the course of a single main scan is adjusted to a suitable ratio.

    摘要: A carburetor fuel mixture adjustment assembly has a threadable holder which suppresses rotation of a needle valve body disposed within an elongated receptacle defined within a carburetor body. The threadable holder is rigidly engaged within a threading chamber of the receptacle. During assembly, the needle valve body is extended through a bore of the holder as a threading portion of the valve body rotateable cuts an interior threading groove into the threadable holder. The threadable holder is held rigidly within the threading chamber by the carburetor body. A sealing holder is disposed within the receptacle axially inward of the threadable holder and is prevented from rotating within the receptacle by the threadable holder. A stem holder portion of the sealing holder assures a needle portion of the needle valve assembly remains concentrically disposed within an outlet orifice of a fuel chamber of the receptacle. A shank holder portion of the sealing holder engages radially between a shank chamber wall of the carburetor, which axially defines a shank chamber of the receptacle, and the shank portion of the needle valve body disposed concentrically to and axially inward of the threading portion. Engagement of the shank holder portion prevents air from entering through the receptacle and into the sub-atmospheric fuel chamber, thereby assuring stable fuel flow through a fuel passage intersected by the fuel chamber and stable engine operation.

    摘要: An electromagnetic clutch has an armature, a rotor housing accommodating a stator housing and an exciting coil having negative and positive terminals. A passage is formed to extend from an outer peripheral surface of the stator housing to the negative terminal and the positive terminal. The passage is filled with a conductive metal member having a melting point lower than that of the stator housing between the outer surface of the stator housing and the negative terminal. When frictional heat generated between the armature and the rotor housing exceeds a preset value, the metal member melts and flows to the positive terminal, thereby short-circuiting the coil. As a result, a fuse between a power source and the clutch is fused, thereby turning off the clutch. Therefore, the clutch does not need to have a thermal fuse therein and is reduced in size without increasing power consumption.

    摘要: An electromagnetic clutch for use with a compressor for an automobile air conditioning system includes a back cover provided at an end wall (26) of an armature (15) which moves to engage and disengage a rotor. The back cover has visored slits (30) with visors (30a) which align with arcuate slots (24) of an armature (28). The air between the armature and the rotor is released through the slits to prevent over compression of the air when the armature is attracted to the rotor. The visor of the back cover prevents an oil leaking from the compressor from invading into the contacting surfaces of the clutch through the arcuate slots of the armature (15).

    摘要: Before transmitting print data, a print controller transmits to a printer information on a thickness of a printing medium corresponding to a sort of printing medium which is selected on a select screen by an operator in a state that the medium thickness information is contained in control data for the print data. In the printer, a timing correction section corrects a timing of ejecting an ink drop onto a printing medium in the forward and reverse scans executed by the recording head in accordance with the control data containing the medium thickness information. Accordingly, stress imposed on the operator when the printer prints on various types of printing media in a bi-directional printing mode can be reduced.

The spring plate member includes a plate spring portion generating a resilient force to separate an armature from a rotor, and an outer ring portion, which faces the armature. An elastic member is provided between the armature and the outer ring portion for connecting the armature directly with the outer ring portion. Thus, operation noises of the electromagnetic clutch and a compressor are efficiently reduced. Further, the axial dimension of elastic member can be made much smaller than that of the conventional cylindrical elastic member.
