    摘要: A medication infusion system may include a controller and a reservoir module including a reservoir containing medication to be delivered to an internal wound site via the controller. The controller may have a peristaltic pump driven by a motor to urge medication to flow toward the internal wound site, through a conduit. A blockage sensor disables the motor and provides an alarm if the tube is blocked. The blockage sensor detects distention of a preferentially distendable portion of the tube, which may be routed about a constraining member. When blockage occurs, the tube distends preferentially along a direction generally parallel to the radius about which the tube bends. The blockage sensor may include a variety of switching elements, such as a pushbutton switch, a metal ring encircling the tube to make contact between conductors, and/or a metal bridge bendable to make contact between conductors.

    摘要: An apparatus for a self-cleaning litter box having a control system for a mechanical self-cleaning mechanism. The litter box has a turret carrying a rake. The box includes an animal sensor that detects the presence of an animal in the box. A specified time after the animal leaves the box, the turret sweeps the rake through the litter, picks up the collected waste, and carries it to a waste bin, where the waste is dumped. The litter box is controlled by a processor executing a software program that monitors the instruments and sensors and controls the turret and rake motors. The software, in various embodiments, controls the rake motor and turret motor to execute a scoop sequence, a startup sequence, and a go home sequence.

    摘要: A fetal and maternal monitoring system is provided, including one or more sensing devices, a central control device which receives signals from, and provides power to, the sensing devices, and a gateway device in wireless communication with the central control device for visualization of data received from the central control device and transmission of the received data to a remote location over a network. The one or more sensing devices may include a fetal heart rate monitor (FHR), a strain gauge tocodynamometer (TOCO), maternal heart rate monitor (MHR), blood pressure monitor or other wearable health or fitness sensing device which require only a basic sensor and rely upon the central control device for processing and power. Lighting elements on the sensing devices provide indications of signal detection and strength. The gateway device will also provide instructions to a user for performing tests and virtual physician visits.

The pocket depths are measured by reading markings inscribed onto the head of the instrument and data is entered into the probe via a rotary switch and an integrated pushbutton switch. The data is displayed on the probe for visual feedback. The probe also includes voice for audio feedback and commands to guide the operator through dental examination. Upon completion of dental examination, the probe is placed in a docking station and data is transferred to a Personal Computer (PC) for analysis.

    摘要: A capacitive responsive electronic switching circuit comprises an oscillator providing a periodic output signal having a frequency of 50 kHz or greater, an input touch terminal defining an area for an operator provide an input by proximity and touch, and a detector circuit coupled to the oscillator for receiving the periodic output signal from the oscillator, and coupled to the input touch terminal. The detector circuit being responsive to signals from the oscillator and the presence of an operator's body capacitance to ground coupled to the touch terminal when in proximity or touched by an operator to provide a control output signal. Preferably, the oscillator provides a periodic output signal having a frequency of 800 kHz or greater. An array of touch terminals may be provided in close proximity due to the reduction in crosstalk that may result from contaminants by utilizing an oscillator outputting a signal having a frequency of 50 kHz or greater.
