摘要: In a receiver circuit module (22) having a microcontroller (U1), an output line (FILTER_LED) connectable to a source circuit module (20) is also used as an input. A switch (SW2) disposed in the source circuit module is closed to change the wave form which is read by the microcontroller as an input signal to drive a 5V signal to the gate of a solid state switch (Q1) turning it on to thereby energize an output device in the source circuit module via the same output line (FILTER_LED). By means of the dual function of the output line the control can notify a user of an HVAC system, for example, of system problems with a blinking light and/or an audible alarm as well as serving to notify the user at a remote location that selected maintenance is due, such as a need to change filters without additional control lines. The source circuit module can be mounted near the thermostat of the HVAC system or on the central heating and cooling unit.

摘要: A collapsible top (13) fits over a child's pull wagon (10), may be taken apart easily, and flatly packaged for store display or mail order shipment. It has a light weight, flexible frame (15) universally adjustable to fit the various sizes of wagon beds (12). In principle, however, the top may be scaled up as a tent for adults, or as a canopy for outdoor recreation. The top includes a cover material (14) stretched between a pair of spaced hoop members (16). They are bowed into an arch above their lower ends which are fitted into mounting brackets (20) secured to the corners of the wagon. A spreader rod (22) forces apart the arched portions of the hoop members sufficiently at the top to develop an overhang beyond the ends of the wagon, thereby allowing the lower legs adjustment to any wagon size, and creating internal mutual stresses between the frame and the cover in a modular, unitary structure strengthened thereby enough to avoid having to use intermediate ribs or other support parts.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring the flow of a liquid through a conduit by observing the transit of an injected gas bubble through the conduit. A gas source, responsive to the pressure of the liquid in the conduit, supplies gas at a predetermined pressure to a gas injector. This allows the gas injectors to inject a predetermined volume of gas into the conduit, largely independent of the absolute pressure of the liquid. An image, produces a conduit image representative of the gas bubble and the liquid in the conduit, comprising a plurality of elements corresponding to a plurality of predetermined locations along the conduit. A timer responsive to the conduit image produces a plurality of transit times substantially equal to the times required for the gas bubble to transit between adjacent predetermined locations. A time analyzer and indicator are included for analyzing the plurality of transit times and indicating the flow of the liquid through the conduit. An image analyzer is also included for analyzing the conduit image to initiate gas bubble injection in response to abnormal conditions. Advantageously, the apparatus may be used as disclosed herein to accurately meter irregular or pulsatile liquid flows.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting a change in environmental conditions utilizing sampling circuitry configured to sample an environmental sensor while a processor remains in a low-power state or a sleep state. According to some embodiments, a pre-filter performs a simplified analysis of the sensor samples to determine if the processor should wake and perform additional analysis on stored sensor samples. Specific examples are provided for detecting motion using passive infrared detectors. Accordingly, systems and methods for reducing the power consumption of a motion detection system are provided herein.

摘要: The present invention is a system and method for generating and displaying a horse racing form for a completely virtual horse racing environment. The present invention stores a database of values for a virtual horse, each value corresponding to an attribute typically listed in a published daily racing form. In order to simulate horse racing performance, calculations are applied to the values, which are adjusted to account for an individual horse's running style, track preference, track condition preference, age, or other factors. The results of these calculations are then displayed on a horse racing form. Users of the present invention will be able to place educated bets, or handicap, using the horse racing form. The form may be used in a number of open or closed environments. As a result, the present invention provides a complete virtual horse racing environment based upon fully calculated and realistically weighted mathematical algorithms used to generate the horse racing form.
