    摘要: (Meth)acrylic acid is produced using a reactor (1) through a vapor-phase catalytic oxidation reaction of propane or the like in a raw material gas, and the obtained reaction gas is distributed to a heat exchanger (20) and an absorption tower (30). Heat energy is recovered from the reaction gas supplied to the heat exchanger (20), and the reaction gas cooled in the heat exchanger (20) and the reaction gas distributed to the absorption tower (30) are supplied to the absorption tower (30). (Meth) acrylic acid is recovered from the reaction gas in an absorbing liquid, to thereby produce (meth) acrylic acid. The reaction gas is distributed to the heat exchanger (20) and the absorption tower (30) according to a pressure of the raw material gas at an inlet of the reactor (1). The present invention allows heat recovery from the reaction gas and a stable and continuous operation even when the heat exchanger for heat recovery is clogged.

A process for producing (meth)acrylic acid, which includes a purification step wherein a (meth)acrylic acid-containing material to be purified is supplied to and distilled by a distillation column, wherein during a cut operation in which the production rate of (meth)acrylic acid is reduced by α% relative to the production rate of (meth)acrylic acid during the ordinary operation, the liquid/gas flow rate in the distillation column is adjusted to be at least (100−α/2)% of the liquid/gas flow rate during the ordinary operation.

The present invention relates to a process where a change in the reaction condition for raising the reaction temperature is conducted by changing the temperature of the heat medium for the adjustment of reaction temperature at the inlet equipped with the above-mentioned multi-tubular reactor and, at that time, (1) change in the inlet temperature of the heat medium is conducted at not higher than 2° C. for each changing operation and (2) when another changing operation is continuously conducted, the changing operation is conducted where the time interval from the changing operation immediately before that is made not shorter than 10 minutes.
