摘要: A high-quality spray product that uses a less expensive propellant exhibiting a lower ozone-depleting potential and a lower global warming potential without using any fluorocarbon, any alternative thereto, etc., and exhibits an improved safety and an improved liquid retention. A dust blower as the spray product uses a propellant composed of a mixture of dimethyl ether and carbon dioxide, and an absorbent adapted to retain the propellant, which is composed of an assembly of pulverized cellulose fibers such that the cellulose fibers include at least 45 mass % of fine cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 0.35 mm or less. The propellant and the absorbent are charged in a spray can having a spray nozzle, thereby preparing a dust blower.

摘要: Upon detection of the attachment of a recording medium, an image signal obtained by taking a picture and condition information representing a condition in which the picture is taken are read out from a memory in an image pickup apparatus and recorded on the recording medium. The apparatus is also arranged in such a manner that the condition information recorded on the recording medium may be transferred to the memory. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to process the image signal by using the condition information stored in the memory, even in a situation in which the recording medium is detached. Furthermore, it becomes possible to inherit the condition information even when the recording medium is exchanged.

摘要: Individual images included in a multi-frame image can be reproduced in an enlarged scale by an easy operation. Information indicating the number of split frames of a multi-frame image and information indicating the number of photographed images included in the multi-frame image are recorded on a recording medium together with images constituting the multi-frame image. In the reproduction mode, each of images constituting the multi-frame image is reproduced and output on one frame with reference to the reproduced information indicating the number of split frames of the multi-frame image and the reproduced information indicating the number of photographed images included in the multi-frame image.

摘要: In an electronic camera, an image file can be erased, and when the image file is erased, a state of notification to the user is changed in accordance with the data attached to an image. In the electronic camera, the data attached to the image indicates whether or not the image file previously has been transferred from a storing area where the image is stored at present to another storing area.

摘要: An image data encoding apparatus performs a two-step process to expand and compress digital image data. The apparatus includes a transform unit for performing orthogonal transform of the image data in a block-by-block manner and generating transform coefficient data. In the first step of the encoding step, a quantizer quantizes the transform coefficient data using a first quantization coefficient to generate first code data. A coefficient operation unit receives the first code data and computes a second quantization coefficient for determining an optimal compression rate of the image data. In the second step of the encoding process, the quantizer receives the second quantization coefficient and quantizes the transform coefficient data to generate second code data. The transform coefficient data is stored in a memory. By optimally compressing the image data, a high image data compression rate is achieved, which allows a greater number of compressed images to be stored. Also, by pipelining the encoding and decoding processes, image processing time is decreased.
