摘要: A valve device includes a base board and a suction pressure responsive valve having two ports defined by tubular portions. The base board is composed of a pair of superimposed plates and a sealing gasket between the plates. One of the plates is formed with a pair of channels and the other with a pair of openings communicating with the channels, respectively. The sealing gasket has a pair of tubular portions disposed respectively in the openings of the base board plate with radial clearances. The tubular portions of the suction pressure responsive valve are sealingly inserted respectively into the tubular portions in the sealing gasket.

摘要: An orifice apparatus is provided which couples a vacuum advancer of a distributor associated with an engine for a vehicle with a carburetor of the engine. The orifice apparatus includes a body having an upper and a lower opening between which an isolation wall is formed in which a plurality of orifices are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. A plurality of orifice members are disposed below the isolation wall and each has an orifice of a different diameter formed therein which is located below one of the plurality of orifices. A rotary plate is disposed above the isolation wall and is secured to a regulating member in the form of a rotatable shaft. A seal member is bonded to the lower surface of the rotary plate, which is formed with a passage port which can be brought into alignment with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall. The rotary plate is urged by a single coiled spring toward the isolation wall so that the seal member is pressed to provide a hermetic seal between the rotary plate and the upper surface of the isolation wall. The seal member is formed with a plurality of openings, each corresponding to one of the plurality of orifices in the isolation wall and having a greater dimension than the corresponding orifice. These openings are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. The regulating member is driven for rotation to move the passage port of the rotary plate from a position in which it is substantially aligned with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall to another position in which it is aligned with another orifice, whereby the particular orifice which provides a communication between chambers formed in the body of orifice apparatus above and below the isolation wall is changed, thus changing the throttle level of the fluid path which joins the chambers.

The pneumatically operated device includes a diaphragm assembly assembled within a housing to subdivide the interior of the housing into first and second chambers respectively in open communication with the negative pressure source and the atmospheric air, and valve and switch mechanisms arranged within the housing to be operated in response to movement of the diaphragm assembly caused by the pressure difference between the first and second chambers.

摘要: A thermostatic valve, used in an engine for introducing warmed air to the engine and air to a slow-port passage of a carburetor, has a valve casing defining therein first and second compartments. A first valve member is disposed in the first compartment to control the introduction of the intake vacuum or the atmospheric pressure to a negative pressure motor mounted on a throat of an air cleaner. A second valve member is disposed in the second compartment to control the communication between a float chamber and the slow-port passage of the carburetor when the temperature of the air introduced into the engine exceeds a preset value so as to prevent excessive richness of an air-fuel mixture.

摘要: A system for purifying exhaust gases of engines by first passing the exhaust gases through a 3-way catalyst in a reducing condition, and secondly through an auxiliary catalyst which accelerates at least the oxidizing reaction in an oxidizing condition, wherein the reducing and oxidizing conditions of the exhaust gases are controlled by a programmed supply of secondary air to the exhaust gases at the upstream sides of the two catalysts, the program for the supply of secondary air being predetermined depending upon operational conditions of the engine, such as the rotational speed and the intake manifold vaccum of the engine.

摘要: An apparatus is provided for introducing secondary air for into an internal combustion engine. The apparatus has an air pump coupled to an air injection pipe system, the latter having an end terminating upstream of the catalytic converter, for introducing an amount of secondary air into the exhaust system of the engine. The apparatus further includes a valve device for maintaining the secondary air directed to the exhaust system from the air pump at determined constant pressure; thus, the amount of secondary air introduced into the exhaust system is effectively decreased during high rotational speed engine operation in order to prevent the catalytic converter from being overheated.
