    摘要: An actuator arranged between a hydraulic brake master cylinder and vehicle wheels for permitting the delivery therethrough of the braking pressure from the former to the latter includes solenoids responsive to signals from a computer which is adapted to sense the skidding of the wheels. Upon actuation of the solenoids, fluid pressure is no longer introduced into the actuator from a pump, as through a brake booster operatively connected to the brake pedal of the motor vehicle on the one hand and to the brake master cylinder on the other hand, so that the actuator suspends the delivery of the braking pressure to the wheels pending the cessation of the skidding. An accumulator is provided for delivering fluid pressure to the actuator, for example, in the event of the malfunctioning of the pump.

    摘要: An orifice apparatus is provided which couples a vacuum advancer of a distributor associated with an engine for a vehicle with a carburetor of the engine. The orifice apparatus includes a body having an upper and a lower opening between which an isolation wall is formed in which a plurality of orifices are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. A plurality of orifice members are disposed below the isolation wall and each has an orifice of a different diameter formed therein which is located below one of the plurality of orifices. A rotary plate is disposed above the isolation wall and is secured to a regulating member in the form of a rotatable shaft. A seal member is bonded to the lower surface of the rotary plate, which is formed with a passage port which can be brought into alignment with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall. The rotary plate is urged by a single coiled spring toward the isolation wall so that the seal member is pressed to provide a hermetic seal between the rotary plate and the upper surface of the isolation wall. The seal member is formed with a plurality of openings, each corresponding to one of the plurality of orifices in the isolation wall and having a greater dimension than the corresponding orifice. These openings are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. The regulating member is driven for rotation to move the passage port of the rotary plate from a position in which it is substantially aligned with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall to another position in which it is aligned with another orifice, whereby the particular orifice which provides a communication between chambers formed in the body of orifice apparatus above and below the isolation wall is changed, thus changing the throttle level of the fluid path which joins the chambers.

    摘要: The solenoid actuated valve device is comprised of a housing of magnetic material having a radially disposed inlet and at least one axially disposed outlet in communication with the interior of a hollow magnetic core disposed within the body. An annular bobbin having a solenoid coil wound thereon is slidably mounted on the core and is normally biased into a position closing at least one elongated radially extending opening through the core. Permanent magnets are secured to the interior of the body in such a manner that the lines of flux intersect the solenoid coil at right angles thereto. Two springs normally bias the bobbin to the closed position and extend between one end of the bobbin and a spring support member disposed adjacent one end of the body. Each spring is connected to one end of the coil and to a respective electrical terminal for supplying electric current to the solenoid coil and the position of the spring support is adjustable relative to the end of the housing by means of a screw threadably extending through the end of the housing into engagement with the spring holder to vary the spring force acting on the bobbin. The connection between the two springs and the ends of the solenoid coil are insulated from the bobbin to prevent a short circuit which would deprive the solenoid coil of electric current. The connections between the two springs and the terminals are also encapsulated with insulating material subsequent to the adjustment of the spring holder relative to the end of the housing.
