    摘要: A method of and an apparatus for estimating a vehicle velocity, which are suitable for use in a vehicle. Velocities of drive wheels and follower wheels of the vehicle are determined and the fastest one of the so-determined velocities is selected. The velocity of the vehicle is estimated based on the fastest wheel velocity thus selected. The above respective processes are repeatedly executed at given time intervals. Thus, when the estimated vehicle velocity is faster than each of the velocities of the follower wheels and lower than the fastest wheel velocity, the estimated vehicle velocity determined immediately before the above estimating process is set as a desired estimated vehicle velocity. Accordingly, a high-accuracy estimated vehicle velocity corresponding to an actual vehicle velocity can be obtained, thereby making it possible to control brakes and driving forces with high accuracy using the estimated vehicle velocity.

    摘要: An improved method of controlling an electro-hydraulic control system by developing a motor control command in relation to the desired force to be exerted by an electric motor on a mechanical element whose displacement determines the hydraulic pressure. The control command is comprised of two magnitude signals. The first magnitude signal must be sufficient to exert enough force to overcome a static friction characteristic of the mechanical element, and the second magnitude signal is selected to achieve a desired average current or voltage over that control period. The time constant for the control command is less than the mechanical time constant of the system, but greater than the the electrical time constant of the system. The control command may be implemented by using either current or voltage control.

    摘要: In a braking pressure control apparatus for a vehicle, a first valve connected between a hydraulic pressure source and a wheel cylinder serves to permit and inhibit a supply of brake fluid to the wheel cylinder from the hydraulic pressure source. A second valve connected between the wheel cylinder and a reservoir serves to permit and inhibit an escape of the brake fluid from the wheel cylinder toward the reservoir. A control device serves to output control signals to the first and second valves respectively to control the braking pressure in the wheel cylinder in response to a detected running condition of the vehicle. The control device includes a deciding section for deciding whether or not a small variation in the braking pressure in the wheel cylinder should be done on the basis of the detected running condition of the vehicle, and an outputting section for, when the deciding section decides that the small variation in the braking pressure in the wheel cylinder should be done, simultaneously outputting the control signals to the first and second valves to simultaneously execute the supply of the brake fluid to the wheel cylinder and the escape of the brake fluid from the wheel cylinder.
