A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 includes a positive electrode 12, a negative electrode 11, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a separator 13. The positive electrode 12 includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, and a carbon layer. The carbon layer is provided between the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer contains a lithium composite oxide. The lithium composite oxide has a molar ratio of nickel to manganese (nickel/manganese) of 6/4 or more.

    摘要: Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with improved high-rate discharge characteristics. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode including a metal foil and a positive electrode active material layer formed thereon; a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material; and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and a solute dissolved therein. The metal foil of the positive electrode is an aluminum foil having an at least partially roughened surface adjacent to the positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode includes a conductive layer containing a conductor and a binder in recesses in the at least partially roughened surface of the aluminum foil. The positive electrode active material layer is disposed on the conductive layer and contains a positive electrode active material, the conductor, and the binder.

    摘要: A positive electrode active material capable of improving an output performance of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided. A positive electrode active material of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 contains a first positive electrode active material and a second positive electrode active material. In the first positive electrode active material, the content of cobalt is 15% or more on an atomic percent basis in transition metals. In the second positive electrode active material, the content of cobalt is 5% or less on an atomic percent basis in transition metals. An average secondary particle diameter r1 of the first positive electrode active material is smaller than an average secondary particle diameter r2 of the second positive electrode active material.
