    摘要: The invention provides a foamable organopolysiloxane composition capable of giving, by foaming and curing at room temperature, a silicone rubber foam of high foaming expansion having very uniform and dense cellular structure. The composition is prepared by a process comprising the steps of: (A) compounding an .alpha.,.omega.-dihydroxy dimethylpolysiloxane with a reinforcing silica filler, hexamethyl disilazane and water as the hydrolysis agent of the silazane to give a compound; (B) removing ammonia in the compound formed by the hydrolysis of the silazane compound as completely as possible; and (C) compounding the compound with a polyhydroxy methylpolysiloxane, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane and a platinum compound as a catalyst for the dehydrogenation reaction between the silanolic hydroxy groups and the silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms to produce hydrogen as the foaming gas.

    摘要: A room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition capable of giving a highly oil-resistant cured silicone rubber is disclosed. The composition comprises, as the essential ingredients, a hydroxy-terminated diorganopolysiloxane, an iminoxysilane compound as a crosslinking agent, an organotin compound as a catalyst and, as an oil-resistance improver, a combination of zinc carbonate and zinc hydroxide in a powdery form of which the content of zinc hydroxide is, different from conventional basic zinc carbonate, 5 to 50% by weight. By virtue of this unique ingredient, the composition is also advantageous in respect of the high storage stability.

    摘要: A novel organopolysiloxane compound having, in a molecule, at least one silyl-substituted ethyl group of the general formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group and the subscripts a is 2 or and b is 1, 2 or 3, or a linear organopolysiloxane having, at each molecular chain end, at least one of such a group, can be prepared by first reacting a vinyl-containing organopolysiloxane with a hydrogen chlorosilane compound to effect the hydrosilation reaction between the silicon-bonded vinyl groups and the silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms and then the silicon-bonded chlorine atoms are subjected to a dehydrochlorination reaction with a silanol compound of the general formula ##STR2## A composition comprising the organopolysiloxane and a photopolymerization initiator is highly sensitive to light and readily cured into a rubbery elastomer by irradiation with ultraviolet light.

    摘要: This composition comprises (A) a diorganopolysiloxane terminated with hydroxyl groups at both ends of its molecular chain having a viscosity of 25 to 1,000,000 cSt at 25.degree. C., (B) a low molecular weight organosilane or straight chain organosiloxane having silanol groups, such as HO(Me.sub.2 SiO)H, Me.sub.3 SiO[Me(OH)SiO].sub.2 SiMe.sub.3 or mixtures thereof, (C) a hydrolyzable silane, and (D) a silica filler having a specific surface area of 50 m.sup.2 /g or more. The composition has good non-flowability and exhibits good application workability when surface-finishing with spatula, and therefore is useful as building sealing materials.

    摘要: A foaming polysiloxane composition providing excellent expansion ratio and expansion control comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of an .alpha., .omega.-dihydroxyorganopolysiloxane, (B) 0.01-50 parts by weight of an organopolyhydroxypolysiloxane, (C) an organopolyhydrogensiloxane wherein 1 molecule contains at least 2 units represented by the general formula: ##EQU1## and in such quantity that SiH lies within the range of 0.5-30 mole per mole of total silanol groups in components A and B, (D) platinum or platinum compounds in a quantity of 0.1-200 ppm calculated as platinum metal per total weight of said components A, B and C, and (E) an organosilicon compound with acetylenic unsaturated groups in a quantity of 0.001-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of components A,B,C and B; and a cured product thereof were disclosed.

    摘要: The essential components in the inventive room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition are: (A-1) a diorganopolysiloxane of which each terminal silicon atom has a silanolic hydroxy group or two alkoxy groups; (A-2) a filler; (A-3) an alkenyloxy silane, e.g. methyl tri)isopropenyloxy)silane; (A-4) a guanidino-containing organosilicon compound, e.g. 3-(tetramethylguanidino)propyl trimethoxy silane; (A-5) an alcohol, e.g. methyl or ethyl alcohol; (B) an organosilicon compound having a silicon-bonded hydrogen atom; and (C) an organic tin compound as a catalyst. By virtue of the unique formulation above, the composition is very stable in storage in a moisture-free condition for a long period of time without losing the high curability when exposed to a moisture-containing atmosphere.

    摘要: The room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition of the invention capable of giving a cured rubber can be used advantageously as an insulating material in electric and electronic instruments without causing troubles in contact points which is unavoidable with conventional compositions. The inventive composition is formulated with (a) a diorganopolysiloxane terminated at the molecule molecular chain ends each with a silanolic hydroxy group, (b) an alkenyloxy, e.g. isopropenyloxy, containing silane and (c) a guanidino-substituted organosilicon compound and these components are specified either by the upper limit of the content of low molecular constituents having a specified vapor pressure or higher or the upper limit of the vapor pressure of the compound per se so that the electric contact points near the insulation with the composition are free from exposure to the vapor of organosilicon compounds which may be deposited as an oxide of silicon by sparks.

    摘要: The curable organopolysiloxane composition of the invention is formulated with two kinds of crosslinking agents including an organosilane compound having 2 or 3 isopropenyloxy groups in a molecule and an organopolysiloxane having at least 2 mercapto groups in a molecule added to the base ingredient of a hydroxy-terminated diorganopolysiloxane together with a curing catalyst and a photosensitizer. The composition has two-way curability by the condensation reaction in the presence of atmospheric moisture between the silanolic hydroxy groups and the isopropenyloxy groups and by the ultraviolet-induced addition reaction between the isopropenyloxy groups and the mercapto groups to exhibit very reliable curing behavior giving a cured rubbery elastomer having excellent properties.
