    摘要: A photographing apparatus includes an imaging optical system to guide light from a subject, a movement mechanism to move the imaging optical system, a sub control section to move the imaging optical system toward a predetermined position with the aid of the movement mechanism when a power supply is turned on, and a main control section to execute system initialization when the power supply is turned on, and to move the imaging optical system with the aid of the movement mechanism and interrupt the movement of the imaging optical system at the predetermined position. The sub control section may also start a lens barrel initialization processing to drive the lens barrel from a non-photographing position to a photographing standby position while the main control section executes system initialization, and the main control section may drive the lens barrel to the photographing standby position after the system initialization is finished.

    摘要: An image display device in which image data produced by an image scanner separate from the display may be written and erased. The display consists of a movable endless belt. Four embodiments are shown with the belt being made of an electrochromic material which electrochemically shows oxidation-reduction reactions; an optically reversible photochromic material; a thermoplastic sheet produced by applying a photoconductor and a thermoplastic resin to a transparent conductive film; and a color photochromic sheet made up of a photochromic film whose absorption changes when illuminated by light of predetermined wavelengths and a repetitive sequence of color filters of red, green and blue each being formed in a stripe configuration, respectively. Visible images are displayed on the display member based on the image data.

    摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a rotary developing device or revolver has a plurality of developing sections each storing a developer of particular color thereinside. The revolver is rotatable to sequentially move the developing sections to a preselected developing position so as to develop toner images sequentially formed on an image carrier. Toner cartridges are each removably mounted to the respective developing section. Only one of the cartridges located at a preselected replacing position can be pulled out and replaced. A toner cartridge is prevented from being accidentally mounted to the developing section located at the replacing position and whose cartridge has already been replaced.
