A method for real-time invoice updating and account-to-account payment includes: receiving invoice data based on presentation of an invoice by a distributor to a recipient at a delivery location, modification of the invoice by the recipient, and acceptance of the invoice by the recipient; generating a request for payment (RFP) message based on the invoice data; transmitting the RFP message to a financial institution associated with the recipient via a financial institution of the distributor; receiving, from the financial institution associated with the distributor, a payment confirmation for the invoice based on a real-time payment from the financial institution associated with the recipient; generating reconciliation data based on the payment confirmation and the invoice data; and transmitting the reconciliation data to a computing device of the distributor and a computing device of the recipient.

A method for verification of user identity includes: storing account profiles, each profile including data related to a user account of a non-financial institution (NFI) entity including an account identifier and an address; receiving a transaction request, the request including a specific account identifier and a transaction amount; identifying an account profile including the specific account identifier; generating a controlled payment number associated with a transaction account of the NFI entity; transmitting a notification to a third party entity including the specific account identifier; transmitting the controlled payment number to a user associated with the user account related to the specific account profile; receiving a data message from the third party entity including the specific account identifier and identification data associated with the user; and updating the specific account profile to include the controlled payment number, the identification data, and a spending limit based on the transaction amount.
Abstract:
A credit account is established for a merchant. A variable credit limit is set for the credit account. An indication is received that the merchant has accepted a payment account transaction to be charged to a customer's payment account. A transaction amount may be associated with the payment account transaction. The indication may also indicate that the payment account transaction has been authorized by an issuer of the customer's payment account. There may be a response in real time to the indication by instantaneously increasing the variable credit limit for the merchant's credit account by an amount that corresponds to the transaction amount.

A method for fraud control of a transaction account based on geolocation includes: storing, in an account database, an account profile including data related to a transaction account including a first profile rule associated with a first geographic area and a second profile rule associated with a second geographic area different from the first; receiving an authorization request for a first transaction involving a first payment card, the request including a first geographic location; receiving an authorization request for a second transaction involving a second payment card, the request including a second geographic location; determining validation for each authorization request, wherein each is determined to be valid if the geographic location is in a geographic area corresponding to the first geographic area or the second geographic area; and transmitting the determination of validation for each authorization request to a payment network for processing of the associated payment transaction.

Systems and methods are provided for directing advertising content to advertising media specific to one or more consumers proximate the advertising media. An example method includes receiving, by a computing device, a media proximity message (MPM) associated with an advertising medium. The method also includes accessing, by the computing device, location context for the advertising medium from an advertising media data structure, based on an advertising medium identifier in the MPM, and accessing a consumer profile for the consumer, based on a consumer identifier in the MPM, from a consumer profiles data structure. The method further includes selecting, by the computing device, an advertising content, from an advertising content data structure, based on at least the consumer profile and the location context, and causing the selected advertising content to be displayed at the advertising medium.
