    摘要: A reciprocating piston engine includes a housing; a cylinder disposed in the housing; a piston guided for reciprocation within the cylinder; a crankshaft connected to the piston for effecting a guided reciprocation thereof within the cylinder; at least two camplates connected to the crankshaft such that they rotate together with the crankshaft, each camplate defining a control contour thereon; two balancing masses operatively coupled to the camplates such that the camplates are effective for actuating respective ones of the balancing masses, each balancing mass comprising a pivoting arm; and coupling means connecting the balancing masses to one another thereby effecting a forced reciprocation thereof as a function of a rotation of the crankshaft. The coupling means include: two pivoting shafts disposed on each side of the crankshaft and extending parallel thereto, each pivoting shaft being connected to at least one balancing mass, each balancing mass being aligned in a direction of a main extension thereof perpendicularly with respect to each pivoting shaft; and coupling components connecting the pivoting shafts to one another.

    摘要: A four-cylinder, reciprocating piston-machine includes a crankshaft having a rotary axis; a center bearing supporting the crankshaft; two outer bearings flanking the center bearing and supporting the crankshaft; and first, second, third and fourth torsion springs extending parallel to the crankshaft axis. The first and second torsion springs are parallel to and facing a first side of a reference plane containing the crankshaft axis, while the third and fourth torsion springs are parallel to and facing a second side of the reference plane. First, second, third and fourth elongated balancing masses are secured to and extending unidirectionally from respective first, second, third and fourth torsion springs toward the crankshaft in a perpendicular orientation to the crankshaft axis. The first and second balancing masses are situated at the outer bearings, while the third and fourth balancing masses are situated at the center bearing. First, second, third and fourth control cams are keyed to the crankshaft and are in engagement with the respective first, second, third and fourth balancing masses for oscillating the balancing masses toward and away from the crankshaft axis to exert varying torques to the respective torsion springs.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine includes a plurality of cylinders defining combustion chambers each having a roof provided in the cylinder head. Each roof is composed of first and second inclined roof surfaces meeting in a ridge line. Two gas intake openings terminate in respective free edges on the first roof surface and at least one gas exhaust opening terminates in a free edge on the second roof surface. Respective gas exchange valves are seatable in the gas intake and gas exhaust openings. A fuel injection nozzle and a spark plug are supported in the cylinder head in a region of the roof. The first roof surface has, adjacent the fuel injection nozzle, a shoulder covering a terminal edge of the cylinders and extending into each combustion chamber. The shoulder has a front face transverse to the nozzle axis. The free edge of the gas intake openings intersects the ridge line.

The engine includes an engine housing; at least one cylinder disposed in the engine housing; and a crank drive including: a crankshaft having a crank; and a piston being axially displaceable within the cylinder. The crank drive further includes a connecting rod which has an upper connecting rod part hinged to the piston; and a lower connecting rod part hinged to the crank. The lower connecting rod part is hinged to the upper connecting rod part. A central joint hinges the upper connecting rod part and the lower connecting rod part to one another, a longitudinal axis of the upper connecting rod part further being defined by a line connecting the central joint with a hinge joint of the upper connecting rod part to the piston. The engine further includes a hinge point disposed on the engine housing; a control arm hinged at one end thereof to the hinge point, and at another end thereof to the upper connecting rod part; an additional joint for hinging the control arm and the upper connecting rod part to one another disposed adjacent the central joint at a distance from the longitudinal axis of the upper connecting rod part; and a controllable adjusting device connected to the hinge point for changing a distance of the hinge point with respect to the cylinder axis.
