摘要： A valve for downhole well service, having a rotary indexer carrying an elastically-loaded valve element on a valve seat surface in a flow passage, the valve element adapted to obstruct one or more flow passages in the valve seat surface when aligned therewith. The valve may additionally, or alternatively, comprise an elastically-loaded valve element mounted in one or more flow passages in the valve seat surface, this valve element adapted to obstruct the flow passage in which it is installed when urged into contact with the valve seat surface. When a valve element is mounted in one or more of the flow passages in the valve seat, the indexer comprises a protrusion positioned to engage such valve element and force it out of contact with the valve seat surface. The valve may be actuated by command from the surface by sending telemetry elements to a downhole telemetry data detector.

摘要： The present disclosure provides a process for producing low density polyethylene with a dissipation factor less than or equal to 1.48×10−4 radian at 2.47 GHz. The process includes free radical high pressure polymerization of ethylene and separation of the unreacted species from the resultant polyethylene to form a recycle stream. The process further includes purging dissipative components from the recycle stream. The purged recycle stream is then introduced into the polymerization reactor.

摘要： A method for purification of uncatalyzed natural fuels in liquid state from metal ions by removing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of natural occurring contaminating porphyrins, metalloporphyrins, chlorins and naturally occurring degradations products of these compounds, such as petroporphyrins, containing said metal ions from the fuels. At least one hemeprotein in apo-form selected from the group consisting of globins, peroxidases, pyrrolases and cytochromes having high affinity for porphyrins is added to the fuels. The hemeprotein is mixed with the fuels in such a way that the porphyrins is bounded to the hemeprotein. The hemeprotein with bound contaminating porphyrins is removed so as to obtain purified fuels. The invention relates also to the use of at least one hemeprotein selected from the group consisting of globins, peroxidases, pyrrolases and cytochromes having high affinity for porphyrins for the purification of uncatalyzed natural fuels in liquid state from metal ions.

摘要： An apparatus which does not require the opening of a box in order to remove an adapter for fiber optic connectors. In one embodiment comprising a removable optical adapter and receptor, the adapter has a flange extending outwardly from an adapter body. The receptor is a mounting plate with a through-opening, which is slightly larger than the adapter flange, and a slot disposed parallel to a front surface. The receptor is foxed to a box, which contains at least one fiber optic connector. The adapter flange is inserted into the through-opening until it seats on a lip or shoulder adjacent to the slot. When the adapter is rotated, the adapter flange engages the slot. Another embodiment utilizes tabs on a removable adapter plate which are received by notches in a through-opening in the receptor. The removable adapter plate has a shoulder which prevents the plate from passing completely through the receptor. Once inserted, the plate is rotated and locked in place. The removable adapter plate receives a standard fiber optic adapter. The receptor has a front and back surface which can be parallel, in which case the adapter, when inserted into the receptor, is perpendicular to the box face, or it can have a front and back surface which form the shape of a wedge, in which case the adapter forms an angle defined by the long axis of the adapter body and the plane of the box face.

摘要： An apparatus, comprising a removable optical adapter and receptor, which does not require the opening of a box to which the receptor is secured in order to remove the adapter. The adapter has a flange extending outwardly from the adapter body. The receptor is a mounting plate with a first aperture, which is slightly larger than the adapter flange, and a second aperture disposed parallel to the front surface. The receptor is fastened to a box, which contains at least one fiber optic connector. The adapter flange is inserted into the first aperture until it seats on a lip or shoulder adjacent to the second aperture. When the adapter is rotated, the adapter flange engages the second aperture. The receptor has a front and back surface which can be parallel, in which case the adapter, when inserted into the receptor, is perpendicular to the box face, or it can have a front and back surface which form the shape of a wedge, in which case the adapter forms an angle defined by the long axis of the adapter body and the plane of the box face. The removable adapter can be removed from the receptor, which is fastened to a box, without opening the box, and the adapter can be positioned such that the cable exits the adapter in the general direction of the cable routing.

摘要： An extraction apparatus for being mounted on, and for selectively removing, a fiber optic connector component from a panel or a wall. The extraction apparatus includes a spring compression mechanism having a first compression member for selectively compressing a first retaining spring of the fiber optic connector component, a second compression member for selectively compressing a second retaining spring of the fiber optic connector component, and an actuator member for selectively moving the first and second compression members into contact with the first and second retaining springs such that the first and second retaining springs are compressed by the first and second compression members to permit removal of the connector component from the opening in the panel. The actuator member is disposed so as to extend through the opening in the panel as the connector component is positioned in the opening.

摘要： A filtered drinking straw for reducing the amount of impurities in an aqueous solution and method for using same. The straw comprises a tube having a passageway containing filtering medium and plugs positioned in the tube to keep the filter medium in the straw. The plugs permit passage of the aqueous solution therethrough but not the passage of the filter medium. The plugs are retained within the tube in a force fit relation by being inserted when compressed and then released. Preferably, the plugs have increased resiliency at temperatures above room temperature, are inserted compressed when hot and cool in position to a substantially non-resilient form.

摘要： Method and apparatus for drilling, completion, well workovers and well control, combining an integrated lifting unit and a coiled tubing unit, the method and apparatus permit running jointed pipe and coil tubing in combination, and standing multiple joints of pipe near the unit. The invention combines a hydraulic pipe hoisting system, pipe handling systems and pipe racking containment apparatus. A hydraulic workover jack is combined with a multifunction injector head and a standpipe for fluid circulation. The invention may also include a rotary table for rotating pipe and/or a rotating power swivel to allow fluid circulation during pipe rotation. Also included are a gin pole, a winching system for jointed pipe, and a traveling head with traveling slips and stationary slips to allow pipe movement in the well. Hydraulic systems allow insertion and extraction of tools in a work string. The apparatus includes spoolable drill pipe including a connector, multi-section reel with core, connection to reel for fluid circulation, reel drive mechanism and a pipe pulling capability.

摘要： An apparatus for switching a single optical signal to any one of several outputs. An input collimator transmits an optical signal that is reflected from two mirrors on an optical bench into an output collimator. Between the two mirrors is an actuator that interrupts the optical signal and effects another signal from an end collimator into one mirror and the output collimator. The alignment of the collimators and actuators relative to the optical bench is achieved by actively aligning the elements, which includes monitoring an optical signal passing through the collimator and using the signal as feedback for positioning control.
