    摘要： A method of treating oil-based paint waste is provided which includes removing at least a portion of the solvent contained in the paint waste and emulsifying the paint waste to form a paint waste residue. The paint waste residue can be combined with varying amounts of water-based paint waste, emulsifiers, a virgin latex polymer, and a plasticizer to form various roofing products including an elastomeric sealer, a primer, and elastomeric caulk. A bedding cement is also provided which includes water-based paint, sand, and an optional plasticizer. The roofing products may be used in combination to form a strong, water-resistant roofing composite overlay for new or existing roof structures.

    摘要： An elastomeric roof coating and method of forming the roof coating are provided. The roof coating is formed from oil-based paint which is optionally treated to remove at least a portion of the solvents contained in the paint, and further includes emulsifying the oil-based paint, followed by the addition of varying amounts of water-based paint, a virgin latex polymer, and a plasticizer. Where white or light colored paints are used in the roof coating, the coating provides good reflective properties when applied to a roof surface.

    摘要： A method of treating paint sludge containing uncured polymer resin, water and/or solvent is provided in which a paint sludge putty is formed which may be used as a replacement for polymeric components used to form compounded polymeric compositions. The treated paint sludge putty or powder comprises from about 5 to 90% by weight of the total compounded polymeric composition and may be used in a variety of compositions including pressure sensitive sealants, caulking sealants, automotive sealants, polyvinyl chloride plastics, rubbers and asphalt cement coatings, and waterbased sealers and coatings.

    摘要： A roof sealant composition and method for treating roof constructions is provided in which a roof sealant composition including from about 25 to 60% by weight recycled paint sludge is applied to a roof in a first coating followed by the application of a supportive mesh. A second coating of the sealant composition is applied as a top coat. Upon drying, a composite is formed which exhibits elongation of greater than 300% and a tensile strength of greater than 500 psi and provides resistance to cracking and leaks.
