The invention relates to emulsifier concentrates which are pourable at 20° C. and contain (a) up to 90 percent by weight of a polyethylene glycol fatty acid diester based on a C16-C22 fatty acid, C16-C22 hydroxy fatty acid, polyhydroxy stearic acid, or poly-(C16-C22 hydroxy fatty acid), (b) up to 80 percent by weight of an oil or oil mixture that is liquid at 25° C., and (c) 2 to 8 percent by weight of water. Also disclosed are the use in emulsions and a method for producing emulsions based on the inventive emulsifier concentrates.

A process for making an alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation having a magnesium salt concentration of less than about 10 ppm involving the steps of: (a) providing an alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation having an active substance content of from about 10 to 70% by weight, based on the weight of the preparation; (b) providing an acid component; (c) adjusting the pH of the alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation to from about 4 to 9.5 by combining the acid component with the alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation to form a pH-modified alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation; (d) providing a column charged with an ion exchange resin; and (e) purifying the pH-modified alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation by passing it through the column of step (d) at a viscosity of from about 20 to 6,000 mPas, and at a temperature of from about 20 to 90° C. to form the alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside preparation having a magnesium salt concentration of less than about 10 ppm.

A submersible pump system with a pump, motor and compensator assembly. In one embodiment, the compensator assembly is made up of multiple elastomeric compensators and a housing. The elastomeric compensators, which are made up of an engaging end, a floating end and a series of alternating crests and grooves, may contain motor cooling liquid. The crests and grooves extend along the compensator's longitudinal axis. The compensators possess a degree of elasticity sufficient for a width of at least one of the respective grooves to expand and contract along with the motor cooling liquid. The crests slide along an interior wall of the housing, while the floating end moves within the housing in cooperation with expansion and contraction of the width of at least one of the grooves.
