摘要: A connector has a housing main body (10) with a terminal accommodating portion (11) for accommodating terminal fittings (13). A holder (50) for supporting front ends of the terminal fittings (13) is assembled to the terminal accommodating portion (11), and a retainer (40) for locking the terminal fittings (13) is mounted laterally into the terminal accommodating portion (11). A detecting portion (45) is retracted from an opening (62) formed in the holder (50) when the retainer (40) is at a partial locking position, but is visible at the opening (62) when the retainer (40) reaches a full locking position.

摘要: Cavities capable of housing terminal fittings connected with the ends of electric wires W are provided inside of a housing. A rear assembly is assembled at the rear of the housing. The rear assembly includes a cover formed of a quality of material having no elasticity and a waterproof member formed of a quality of material having elasticity. The waterproof member further includes a wire seal part that surrounds and waterproofs electric wires, and a housing seal part that seals between the two housings. A clearance is provided about a periphery between the outer peripheral face of the wire seal part and the housing seal part. Even if the material of the wire seal part is deformed during the insertion operation of the electric wires, the insertion operation of the electric wires can be smoothly carried out to the last wire because the clearance absorbs the deformation of the entire wire seal part.

摘要: A lever (40) of a connector assembly is in the form of a single plate, and a resilient lock (48) for locking the lever (40) at a connection completing position and a finger placing portion (47B) used to rotate the lever (40) are adjacent to each other at one end of the lever (40). The resilient lock (48) extends along the plane of the lever (40) and is resiliently deformable along a direction normal to the plane. Thus, a larger area can be secured for an unlocking portion (48B) of the resilient lock (48) without increasing the thickness of the lever (40), thereby providing good unlocking operational efficiency.

摘要: A lever-type connector (10) has a frame-shaped holder (11) for accommodating auxiliary connectors (24). A lever (40) is mounted on the holder (11) and is adapted to connect the lever-type connector (10) and a male connector (50) by cam action effected as the lever (40) is rotated. The lever (40) extends along only one wall surface of the holder (11). Thus, wires (27) and the lever (40) are unlikely to interfere with each other. Further, the lever (40) is accommodated in a recess (16) of the holder (11) and is held from opposite sides along a direction of the rotational axis. Thus, the lever (40) will not deform along the direction of the rotational axis and will not detach from the holder (11).

The receptacle (53) has dovetail grooves (56) and the holder (11) has dovetail ribs (27) that engage to prevent the receptacle (53) from deforming away from the outer surface of a holder (11).

摘要: A lever-type connector assembly has mating female and male connectors (10, 50). The female connector (10) has a lever (40) with a cam plate (41) and a resilient lock (46) that is deformable within the plane of the cam plate (41). The resilient lock (46) engages a receiving portion (33A) on the female connector (10) for holding the lever (40) at an initial position. The connector (50) has an unlocking rib (55) that deforms the resilient lock (46) out of engagement with the receiving portion (33A). As a result, the lever (40) can rotate for connecting the connectors (10, 50). Since the resilient lock (46) deforms in the plane of the cam plate (41), there is no need to provide space for deformation of the resilient lock (46) along a thickness direction of the cam plate (41).

摘要: An electrical junction box has a fitting member for securing the junction box to a vehicle body. The fitting member has a breakdown accelerating portion for enhancing breakdown of the fitting member when the junction box is pulled to remove it from the vehicle body. The breakdown accelerating portion is positioned in a base side of the fitting piece. By a transverse force caused by pulling an associated wiring harness, the breakdown accelerating portion initiates breakdown of a bracket to separate the junction box from the bracket. Another fitting device has a fitting member formed on a junction box for securing the junction box to a vehicle body. The fitting member has a slot for enhancing breakdown of the fitting member when the junction box is pulled to remove the junction box from the vehicle body, and the fitting member has a compensating piece removably inserted into the slot for adjusting the breakdown of the fitting member.

摘要: A terminal unit (TU) includes a battery terminal (2) mounted at the leading end of a wiring harness (4), and a holder (8) mounted on the wiring harness (4) at a position distanced from the battery terminal (2). A current sensor (12) is transported separately from the terminal unit (TU) to a connection site to a battery (B). The battery terminal (2) is introduced through the current sensor (12) and the current sensor (12) then is coupled with the holder (8) at the connection site. This operation is performed at a position distanced from the battery (B), and hence can be performed smoothly without being hindered.
