摘要： Disclosed is an image recording apparatus which allows an image to be formed on an image receiving material by transferring an image recorded on a heat-developable light-sensitive material thereto in the presence of an image forming solvent. The rotational speed of a roller for coating the solvent onto the light-sensitive material or the image receiving material is controlled in the vicinity of the backward end of the light-sensitive material or image receiving material at a predetermined value or below. In consequence, suitable control of the amount of solvent to be applied is enabled.

摘要： CCD line sensors for detecting R, G, B colors are displaced by a piezoelectric element in a direction in which the CCD line sensors are arrayed, for repeatedly reading an image on one scanning line a plurality of times. Each time the image is read, pixel signals produced by the photoelectric transducers of the CCD line sensors are combined in a given sequence through selector switches, and stored as a series of data in line buffers associated with the colors. Two line buffers are associated with each of the colors. While one of the line buffers is in the process of storing pixel signals, the pixel signals stored in the other line buffer are read and processed into an image signal. The resolution of the image signal is increased without increasing the number of the photoelectric transducers and using a relatively small memory capacity.

摘要： An image recording apparatus which forms an image on an image receiving medium by transferring an image recorded on a heat-developable photosensitive medium in the presence of an image forming solvent, the apparatus having an application roller which is partly immersed in the solvent and which functions, while rotating, to apply this solvent to the heat-developable medium or the image receiving medium. Grooves are provided on the application roller in the vicinity of the axial ends thereof. The image forming solvent is thereby uniformly attached to the outer periphery of the application roller, and this solvent is then uniformly applied to the heat-development medium or the image receiving medium.

摘要： An image reading apparatus includes an original table for supporting an original cassette which contains an original to be read, and an auxiliary scanning mechanism for feeding the original cassette, with the original table, in an auxiliary scanning direction substantially normal to a main scanning direction of an illuminating light source. The image reading apparatus also has a rotating mechanism mounted on the original table and having a turntable for holding the original cassette, a positioning mechanism for positioning and fixing the original cassette with respect to the turntable, and a trimming mechanism for moving the turntable in the main scanning direction of the illuminating light source, the main scanning direction being a trimming direction in which the turntable can be trimmed. The original cassette is automatically fed from a cassette insertion slot to the turntable by a feed mechanism. The image reading apparatus also has an identifying mechanism for optically identifying the type and number of thee original cassette.
