    摘要: An apparatus selectively operable for reproducing digital information signals recorded in accordance with a first format in relatively long tracks extending obliquely across a first effective recording width of a first magnetic tape, or for reproducing analog information signals recorded on a second magnetic tape in accordance with a second format in relatively short tracks extending obliquely across a second effective recording width which is narrower than the first effective recording width has a rotary drum around which a magnetic tape selected from the first and second magnetic tapes is wrapped to the same extent, playback heads rotatable with the drum scan obliquely across the first effective recording width of the selected magnetic tape wrapped around the drum so that, if the selected magnetic tape has been recorded in accordance with the first format, the playback heads reproduce the digital information signals while scanning the relatively long tracks, whereas, if the selected magnetic tape has been recorded in accordance with the second format, the playback heads scan beyond the relatively short tracks and thereby reproduce noise after the analog information signals recorded in such short tracks, and, when reproducing a magnetic tape recorded in accordance with the second format, the analog information signals reproduced from the relatively short tracks are time base extended so as to increase the duration thereof for eliminating noise.

    摘要: When a recording start executed in a variable-speed recording mode, at ST44 a signal having a variable frame rate is selected on the basis of a validity signal from among image signals having a predetermined output frame rate in which the images having the variable frame rate are contained and stored in a memory. If it is decided at ST46 that a phase difference between a write position and a read position in the memory has reached a recording start level, the stored signal is recorded in a recording medium at ST47. If it is decided at ST48 that the phase difference has decreased to a recording stop level, recording to the recording medium is stopped at ST49. When an end operation is executed at ST51, the signal in the memory is recorded in the recording medium to then end actions. The signals are selected and recorded, thus resulting in a smaller signal quantity. Further, if the variable frame rate is varied, video effects can be confirmed only by reproducing the recorded signals.

    摘要: A non-tracking type audio and video data recording and reproducing apparatus and method adapted for use in performing an editing operation wherein data (overlying data) of a unit or group is inserted over previously recorded data (underlying data). During a recording operation, an error correction code(s) is added to the overlying data, the underlying data located in the area wherein the overlying data is to be recorded may be erased, and the overlying data for the tracks other than the first and last tracks thereof is recorded. During reproduction, the reproduced error correction codes and data of the unit of the tracks other than the first and last tracks thereof are utilized to obtain the overlying data of the first and last tracks which are not recorded. Such arrangement may prevent the erroneous reproduction of the underlying and overlying data at the boundaries of the underlying and overlying data.

    摘要: In an apparatus for reproducing a recorded signal and the like of this invention, two reproducing heads are provided for a single track with their set positions being deviated in the track width direction. A signal selecting unit discriminates a reproducing head whose tracing condition of a target track is appropriate based on an error correction result of a C1 correcting unit and output levels of reproducing heads. A signal obtained by the discriminated reproducing head is supplied to a C2 correcting unit to generate an output signal. Consequently, an off track allowance is increased as compared with a case where the target track is traced with a single reproducing head. At the time of a special reproducing operation or even if a narrow track pitch system is adopted, a recorded signal is reproducible properly.

    摘要: The fixing device comprises a body adapted to be secured directly onto a brittle wall or secured to the brittle wall with a member to be attached to the wall interposed therebetween. The body is formed with at least two guide holes passing therethrough from the top to the bottom thereof each for receiving therein a fixing member such as a set screw or a nail so that it is driven into the wall to thereby fixedly secure the body onto the wall. The guide holes are oriented in such an inclinded direction with respect to the normal to the wall that the fixing members do not intersect with each other and do not extend in parallel to each other when they are inserted into the body and driven into the wall, thereby permitting the body to be securely fixed to the wall. An engaging member having integrally formed therewith a supportng portion such as a hook or a hanger may be detachably engaged over the body. Alternatively, the body itself may be integrally formed with a supporting portion such as a hook, a hanger and a ring.

    摘要: In an information-recording apparatus and the like according to the invention, digital information is recorded in a magnetic tape according to a recording format in which two types of sync lengths exist. The recorder records digital information having a first information-recording length and digital information having a second information-recording length, which is shorter than the first information-recording length in the magnetic tape. The recorder records a CTL signal serving as a reference during reproduction of the digital information between a recording portion of the digital information having the first information-recording length and a recording portion of the digital information having the second information-recording length. A gap portion between the recording portions of digital information having different sync lengths and a recording portion of a CTL signal are utilized as a signal processing space required for carrying out error correction such as C1 correction during reproduction of the digital information.
