摘要:
An element such as Cr is caused to dissolve sufficiently in a base-material metal (Cu) in a solid solution state at a high temperature and a material in a supersaturated condition is obtained by performing quenching. After that, a strain is applied to this material and this material is subjected to aging treatment at a low temperature simultaneously with or after the application of this strain. As a result of this, it is possible to obtain a copper alloy having properties desirable as an electrode material, for example, a hardness of not less than 30 HRB, an electrical conductivity of not less than 85 IACS %, and a thermal conductivity of not less than 350 W/(m·K).

A method for assembling a metal honeycomb catalyzer carrier includes the steps of winding corrugated belt plate materials into a substantially cylindrical shape, forming a wound structure into a predetermined cylindrical shape with a die 101 and pushing out a wound honeycomb body 12 obtained through the forming from the die and inserting the wound honeycomb body 12 into the interior of a tubular member 13. An assembling apparatus 31 includes a winding unit 42 which includes, in turn, a rotational holding shaft 167 and a press roller unit 38, a die unit 39 for forming a wound structure wound round the rotational holding shaft 167 into a wound honeycomb body 12 of a predetermined cylindrical shape (of an outside diameter Dp), a tube support unit 132 for setting a tubular member 13 at an edge of a die surface 126, and a honeycomb push-out and insertion unit 34 for pushing out a formed structure from a die 101 and inserting the formed structure so pushed out into the tubular member 13.

Two or more superposed plates and a thin plate are resistance-welded by: placing, on the two or more superposed plates, the thin plate whose thickness is less than each of the two or more superposed plates; placing a welding auxiliary member on the thin plate; making one of a pair of electrodes abut on the welding auxiliary member, and making the other of electrodes abut on a bottom surface of a lowest plate of the two or more superposed plates; and resistance-welding the two or more superposed plates and the thin plate to one another by the pair of electrodes.

A cylindrical honeycomb metal support (11) is provided. The metal support (11) includes a honeycomb support (12) having a cylindrical portion (17) formed in its center (16) by laminating a plurality of corrugated sheet materials (23) each in the form of a strip having a corrugated portion (24) and winding the corrugated sheet materials about their middle portions (25), and a cylindrical member (13) in which the honeycomb support is fitted. The wound ends (19, 21) of the wound corrugated sheet materials are fixed to the inner surface (22) of the cylindrical member.

A two-electrode arc welding device and two-electrode arc welding method are provided for performing welding with improved penetration performance using two non-consumable electrodes. In a two-electrode arc welding device, a power-supply unit outputs a straight-polarity voltage and a reverse-polarity voltage, which has a different electrical potential than the straight-polarity voltage. The straight-polarity voltage output from the power-supply unit is applied to a non-consumable electrode of a straight-polarity arc torch, whereby an arc is formed. The reverse-polarity voltage output from the power-supply unit is applied to a non-consumable electrode of a straight-polarity arc torch, whereby an arc is formed. An arc spacing distance, which is a distance between the ends of both the straight-polarity arc torch and the reverse-polarity arc torch, is set to be at least a minimum distance at which an arc will not occur therebetween (arc spacing critical distance).

A welding apparatus includes a first electrode tip; a second electrode tip opposing the first electrode tip; and an electrically conductive part which is provided so as to be freely interposed between the second electrode tip and a work and ensures electrical conduction between the second electrode tip and the work when the electrically conductive part is interposed between the second electrode tip and the work, the electrically conductive part including an electrically conductive member one side of which opposes the work with a presence of a void space from the work when the electrically conductive member is interposed between the second electrode tip and the work, and against which the second electrode tip is abutted on another side thereof, and a pair of electrically conductive abutment members which are provided integrally with the electrically conductive member in such a manner as to extend toward the work, and distal ends of which are abutted against the work, a position of abutment of the electrically conductive member against the second electrode tip being positioned between the pair of abutment members.
