摘要： Disclosed is an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which an organic lubricant is provided on the surface of an organic photoconductive layer or on a protective layer formed on the organic photoconductive layer. Elements of the organic lubricant are partly exposed from the surface of the organic photoconductive layer or the protective layer while the remainder portions of the elements are embedded or fixed by chemical reaction in the surface region of the photoconductive layer or the protective layer so that the exposed portions of the elements of the organic lubricant provides a lubricating surface layer. The lubricating surface layer supresses wear of the photoreceptor thereby enabling the photosensitive layer to withstand a long repeated use without impairing electrophotographic characteristics.

摘要： A superconducting magnet coil is produced by winding a superconducting wire to form a coil; impregnating the coil with a curable resin composition of low viscosity which contains for example at least one epoxy resin selected from the group consisting of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A, diglycidyl ether of bisphenol F and diglycidyl ether of bisphenol AF, all having a number-average molecular weight of 350-1,000, a flexibilizer and a curing catalyst, to obtain a curable-resin composition-impregnated coil; and heating the curable-resin-composition-impregnated coil to cure the composition.

摘要： A thermoplastic resin composition for casting high-voltage coils containing two kinds of fillers (A) and (B), and products as molded coils and panels obtained by casting and curing the composition.The composition of the present invention contains 60%-85% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, of a silica type filler which is an admixture (A) a spherical silica having an average particle diameter of 0.1-0.9 .mu.m and (B) a ground silica having an average particle diameter of 3-9 .mu., the ratio A/(A+B) being 1%-7% by weight.Products as molded coils and panels prepared by using the composition have good resistance to cracking and resistance to moisture.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal display element formed by holding, between two substrates at least one of which has a light-permeable electrode, a liquid crystal layer in which liquid crystal molecules of a nematic liquid crystal having positive dielectric anisotropy and containing an optically active substance has a helical axis perpendicular to the substrates between the substrates and are helically oriented, and the liquid crystal molecules between the substrates have a twist angle of 180 to 270 degrees, and a phase plate formed by stacking water surface development films of an organic polymer with changing the orientation axes thereof at a constant angle, wherein the contrast ratio, a ratio between brightness in white display and brightness in black display, is remarkably excellent over that of a device obtained by stacking plastic films, and the transmissivity, a quotient of background brightness and light source brightness, is equivalent to that of a conventional double layer structure liquid crystal display device.

摘要： An optical apparatus comprises an optical device having an optically functional material sandwiched between a pair of substrates with electrodes formed on opposing surfaces. The optically functional material has such a characteristic that intensity of light issuing from the optical device changes asymmetrically in response to inversion of the polarity of an applied external field. Pulse voltages of one polarity for determining the intensity of the issuing light and pulse voltages of an opposite polarity are applied from a source at a predetermined period so that an average voltage is zeroed within the predetermied period. The issuing light intensity under the application of the pulse voltages of one polarity and the issuing light intensity under the application of the other pulse voltages are selected or changed by a switching unit.
