    摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a device for forming an image; a device for detecting information relating to the image formed by the image forming device and for repeating the detection; and a device for determining a timing at which the detection is repeated by the detecting device on the basis of the information detected by the detecting device. A device for generating a pattern signal corresponding to a predetermined pattern for detecting the amount of registration deviation by the detecting device is also provided. In addition, a transport belt for transporting the recording medium through the plurality of image forming units is provided so that the image forming units also form predetermined images on the transport belt. A device is also provided for mechanically and/or electrically correcting registration in the image forming units on the basis of the amount of registration deviation detected by the detecting device.

    摘要： In a mode of continuously forming different images, such as a serial page copy mode and an enlargement serial copy mode, which of the images are to be formed, and how they are to be formed is previewed prior to the start of a copy operation. At an operation unit an operator sets a selected mode, for example, the serial page copy mode, by sequentially depressing a preview key and an image reading key to supply image data to a preview processing unit which displays the output image on a CRT prior to printing. The output images may be displayed in the order to be copied. The output images may also be collectively displayed on the same screen, or the continuous display during preview may be temporarily interrupted or resumed at a desired timing.

    摘要： An image forming system includes a plurality of sequentially connected image forming apparatuses, each of which stores image data in a storage unit, and forms an image by reading out the stored image data. The image forming system also includes at least an apparatus for storing input image data into a memory after compressing the information amount of the data, and forming an image by reading out the compressed image data from the memory. A predetermined one of the image forming apparatuses includes an input unit for inputting color-separated image data of each different color, a storage unit for storing the color-separated image data without compressing the information amount of the data, and an output unit which is capable of outputting the color-separated image data of each different color in a frame-sequential manner from the storage unit, and which is capable of outputting the color-separated image data of each different color in parallel. This arrangement results in the memory capacity of the entire system being decreased while maintaining a high copy volume.

    摘要： A drive system includes an actuator, a waveform generating unit, a driving amplifier, and a bias amplifier. The actuator includes a drive unit. The waveform generating unit generates a voltage waveform for driving the drive unit. The driving amplifier amplifies the voltage waveform so as to apply a voltage to the drive unit. The bias amplifier applies a bias voltage to the drive unit. The driving amplifier and the bias amplifier are coupled to a shared power supply and the ground. The output voltage of the bias amplifier is higher than the minimum output voltage of the driving amplifier.
