摘要: In order to measure an inner defect of a sample with a certain high accuracy even if the sample surface of the moved up and down by flatness irregularity of the sample and problem on accuracy of the sample movement stage, incident light beams having two wavelength and respective different penetration depths for the sample are slantingly irradiated on the surface of the moving sample 15 from irradiation optical systems 4, 8, and the inner defect of the sample is measured by detecting the scattering light occurred from the interior of the sample with a detection optical system 9 arranged over the sample surface. A distance measurement means 14 is located in an upstream of a movement direction of said sample than said irradiation optical system 4, 8 and said detection optical system 9, thereby a surface height of said sample is measured. When a measured point on sample measured by the distance measurement means 14 is arrived at a lower part of the detection optical system 9, height positions of the irradiation optical system and the detection optical system are controlled by piezo electric elements 11,12,13 so that the irradiation optical system and the detection optical system are located at predetermined positions relating to the measured point.

摘要: In the case where there coexist general loads requiring backup only for a short duration and a specific load requiring backup for a longer duration, uninterruptible power with higher reliability is supplied to the specific load with the adoption of a simple configuration. A DC backup power supply system comprises an AC/DC converter for normally supplying DC power to loads in while (the general loads and the specific load, included), and a control circuit for supplying DC output backing up the loads in whole for relatively short time only from a battery at the time of a power outage, while supplying DC output backing up the specific load, such as a cache memory and so forth, for relatively long time. Thus, it is possible to implement an uninterruptible power supply system small in size and low in cost, provided with a function for proper use depending on a prevailing situation.

摘要: This invention relates to an apparatus for calibrating a slit width among calibrating apparatuses in a monochromator. There has been the problem that, although the slit width precision of the monochromator has been an important performance item, the calibration of the slit width has not hitherto been performed. This invention employs a bright-line spectrum or zero-order light for the slit width calibration. A peak is found out from among output signals of a lightdetector (20) by means of a peak decision unit (26). The peak value is stored into a memory (28). This peak value and the output of the lightdetector (20) are compared by a comparator (32). The slit width is calibrated on the basis of the quantity of wavelength scanning till the coincidence of both the values.

摘要: A power transmission mechanism in which a small rotatable screw thread is arranged symmetrically with a large rotatable screw thread. The pitch and the pitch circle diameter of the large screw thread are the same integer times the pitch and the pitch circle diameter of the small screw thread. The screw thread grooves are connected through ball means and a convenient combination of screw threads provides an input shaft and an output shaft either in parallel or in alignment. This arrangement provides a power transmission mechanism of a compact size and a simple structure with an enhanced ratio of power increase and decrease.

The undulation pump has a toroidal-shaped pump chamber with two angled side walls, an arc-shaped outer wall, an inlet port, an outlet port, and an inner circumferential opening and an undulation disk with a diameter that extends to about the arc-shaped outer wall of the pump chamber. The device includes a circumferential, flexible inner wall membrane covering the inner circumferential opening and least one surface of the undulation disk and forming liquid-tight seals to the pump chamber, or alternatively a precession assembly with inner bearings connected in series with an anti-rotation assembly, the anti-rotation assembly disposed within the pump and connected to the undulation disk, and preferably both, and a motor in connected communication with the precession assembly so that the disk undulates when motive force is applied.

摘要: Attitude control is implemented by detecting the phase difference between signals received by at least two antennas and detecting the angle of deflection between the direction of arrival of radio signals and the antenna beams. By using antennas that are separately driven, within the plane of rotation in which the deflection angle is to be detected, the phase of the received signals can be shifted equivalently to when the antennas are driven as a consolidated unit. Also, when at least three antennas are used in an orthogonal arrangement for detecting the deflection angle in two directions, the antennas are divided into two groups which are individually driven. This reduces the inertia of the moving parts and enables the size and weight of the drive mechanisms to be reduced. In addition, two orthogonal functions are used to represent the phase of the deflection angle of the direction of arrival of the radio wave and the antenna beam as a multiplicity of quadrants, and by storing these, when there is a change in the deflection angle, the sequence of change can be traced back and the control effected accordingly. This enables error to be eliminated.
