    Abstract: An RFID module is provided that includes a substrate having first and second main surfaces; an RFIC chip and a coil conductor on the first main surface; and a first conductor pattern within the substrate. The coil conductor includes a plurality of coil elements each having a pair of legs and a bridge connecting first ends of the pair of legs. The coil elements are arranged in a row across a predetermined winding axis; and a second conductor pattern is on the first main surface and connects with the coil elements to form a coil shape. A first end of the RFIC chip is connected to a first end of the coil conductor. The first conductor pattern is between the second ends of the RFIC chip and the coil conductor. The first conductor pattern has a fold-back portion where the direction in which the pattern extends is folded back.

    Abstract: A medical instrument is provided in which a wireless IC tag is fixed to a first or second body, such that at least part of the wireless IC tag is positioned more frontward than a front end of a first ring and a front end of a second ring and more backward than a support. A winding axis of an inductor is orthogonal to the up-down direction and intersects the front-back direction so that electric, magnetic, or electromagnetic field coupling is established between a resonant circuit and a metal medical instrument. Moreover, the metal medical instrument either emits a transmission signal, which has a frequency equal to a predetermined resonant frequency and supplied from the resonant circuit, as an electromagnetic wave, or it receives a reception signal having a frequency equal to the predetermined resonant frequency as an electromagnetic wave, and supplies the reception signal to the resonant circuit.

    Abstract: An RFID tag that includes an RFID tag body having a conductor in a loop-like shape or a coil-like shape, and metal fixtures for fixing the RFID tag body to a metal surface of an article. The conductor is formed in an element body in a rectangular parallelepiped shape that has first and second side surfaces facing each other, third and fourth side surfaces facing each other and orthogonal to the first side surface, a top surface, and a bottom surface serving as a mounting surface. A plane of an opening of the conductor is parallel to the first side surface and the second side surface, and the metal fixtures each include a first portion protruding along an extension surface of the bottom surface, a second portion disposed along the third side surface or the fourth side surface, and a third portion disposed along the top surface.

    Abstract: A wireless IC tag-attached metal medical instrument includes a metal medical instrument including a metal portion. The metal medical instrument is configured such that electric, magnetic, or electromagnetic field coupling is established between a resonant circuit and the metal portion when a wireless IC tag is fixed to the metal portion that includes the resonant circuit having an inductor with a spiral or helix shape that turns around a central axis more than one turn. In this configuration, the metal portion either emits a transmission signal with a frequency equal to a resonant frequency of an electromagnetic wave supplied from the resonant circuit or receives a reception signal having a frequency equal to the resonant frequency, and supplies the reception signal to the resonant circuit.

    Abstract: An RFID tag includes a first conductor and second conductors that are connected to each other to provide a main portion or all of a coil-shaped conductor or a loop-shaped conductor. Moreover, an RFIC is connected to the second conductors or is electromagnetically coupled to the second conductors. The first conductor includes terminals provided such that an end projects outward from a winding range of the coil-shaped conductor or a loop-shaped conductor while the first conductor is connected to the second conductors.
