    Abstract: Provided is a strain sensor that includes a fixing section and a measurement section that is supported by the fixing section and can expand and contract. The strain sensor includes a base material that has a first main surface and a second main surface, which face each other, and a conductor section provided on the first main surface. The conductor section includes a detection conductor that is provided in the measurement section and that has a resistance value that changes in accordance with expansion and contraction of the base material in the measurement section. The measurement section includes a detection section in which the detection conductor is provided and a low-elastic-modulus section that increases a deformation amount with respect to an external force in the detection section.

    Abstract: A swallowing analyzing system (S) includes a swallowing sensor (1) and a swallowing analyzer (30). A piezoelectric film sensor (3) of the swallowing sensor (1) includes a plurality of sensing portions (3A) and (3B) in a longitudinal direction of the neck region. The piezoelectric film sensor (3) is located within a range of movement of thyroid cartilage (103), which occurs along with swallowing, and is attached to skin of an anterior neck region (102). The piezoelectric film sensor (3) individually outputs analog signals (S1a) and (S2a) along with deformation of the plurality of sensing portions (3A) and (3B). A body (20) of the swallowing sensor (1) determines whether the swallowing occurs based on displacement signals that are low frequency components of the analog signals (S1a) and (S2a). The body (20) extracts data on the signals during the swallowing and wirelessly outputs the data to the swallowing analyzer (30).

    Abstract: A connector structure (1) includes a connector (100) and a flexible printed circuit (200). The connector (100) includes a connector body (110) having a terminal portion (116) and a positioning projection (120) configured to position the flexible printed circuit (200) relative to the connector body (110) so as to bring an electrode portion (222) into contact with the terminal portion (116) at a right position being set in advance. An insertion hole (210h) through which the positioning projection (120) is inserted is formed in the flexible printed circuit (200) at a position spaced from the electrode portion (222). As the positioning projection (120) is inserted gradually into the insertion hole (210h), the positioning projection (120) moves the flexible printed circuit (200) so that the flexible printed circuit (200) is aligned with the right position.

    Abstract: A piezoelectric film sensor (3) of a swallowing sensor (1) includes a plurality of sensing portions (3A) and (3B) in a longitudinal direction of the neck region. The piezoelectric film sensor (3) is located within a range of movement of thyroid cartilage (103), which occurs along with swallowing, and is attached to skin of an anterior neck region (102). The piezoelectric film sensor (3) individually outputs analog signals (S1a) and (S2a) along with deformation of the plurality of sensing portions (3A) and (3B). The swallowing sensor (1) includes pre-processing units (21) and (22) and a signal processing unit (23). Each of the pre-processing units (21) and (22) separates the analog signal (S1a) or (S2a) into a displacement signal that is a low frequency component and a sound signal that is a high frequency component. The signal processing unit (23) determines whether the swallowing occurs based on the displacement signal.

    Abstract: Breakage of a board due to local concentration of stress at the time when a circuit module deforms is reduced. A circuit module includes a base, a lower layer, and a surface layer. The base has a mounting region in which an electronic component is mounted. The lower layer is made of a resin material. The lower layer is formed over from the mounting region to a region other than the mounting region on the base. The surface layer is made of a resin material different in hardness from the resin material of the lower layer. A periphery of the surface layer is located outside the mounting region and inside a region in which the lower layer is formed.
