Abstract: A resettable injection training device embodiment is provided. In one embodiment, the device may include an outer housing comprising locking tabs at its proximal end, a safety shield, the safety shield being slidable relative to the outer housing between a ready-to-fire position, and a fired position, wherein when the safety shield is in a fired position, the injection simulation member is retracted into the outer housing. The device may further include a plunger comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end comprising a plunger contact portion for interfacing with the locking tabs to displace the locking tabs to unlock the safety shield, and a biasing member disposed between the outer housing and the safety shield to extend the shield in a proximal direction upon release of the locking tabs, wherein retraction of the plunger and proximal movement of the outer housing resets the device.

Abstract: Embodiments provided herein include a resettable injection training device having a body, a plunger slidable relative thereto, an injection simulation member and retractable and extendable shield, wherein the shield releasably locks in a retracted position prior to use. After use of the training device, the shield extends over the injection simulation member to prevent contact with the injection simulation member. Resetting of the slidable shield occurs by applying a force onto a distal end of the shield to retract the shield until a shield locking surface interacts with a locking surface on the body to maintain the shield in a retracted position. Release of the shield from a retracted position to an extended position may occur by moving the plunger toward a distal end of the body until a contact region at a proximal end of the plunger releases the shield locking surface from the body locking surface to release the shield.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a medicament delivery system is provided. The medicament delivery system includes a container for storing a medicament prior to use, the container having a first end and a second end, an injection member in fluid communication with the container, an actuation mechanism associated with the container and configured to deliver the medicament from the container through the injection member when the actuation mechanism is activated. The medicament delivery system further includes at least one detection element associated with the system, wherein in a first mode of operation of the system, medicament is delivered through the injection member and in a second mode of operation of the system, medicament is not delivered through the injection member, and the mode of operation is dependent on an output from the at least one detection element.

Abstract: A container for delivering a medicament to a target location includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, the housing including a cap locking tab at the distal end, and a vial containing the medicament. The container includes a plunger slidable within the vial from a proximal end to a distal end of the vial to dispel the medicament, an injection member associated with the distal end of the vial, such that the medicament dispelled from the vial passes through the injection member to the target location, and a slidable interaction member associated with the distal end of the vial configured to slide with the vial. An interaction between the slidable interaction member and the cap locking tab causes the cap locking tab to bias outward, and placement of a safety cap on the container after use locks the safety cap onto the container via an interaction with the cap locking tab. The container may further include a resistance feature to control movement of a plunger rod relative to the vial.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a resettable shield-activated injection training device is provided. The training device includes an outer housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, an inner housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, plunger retention protrusions near the proximal end, and an asymmetrical projection at the distal end. The training device may further include a safety shield slidable relative to the outer housing between an extended position and a retracted position, a plunger slidable relative to the outer housing, the plunger comprising one or more plunger rail portions, and a rotatable reset component having axial and radial movement, the reset component comprising a proximal end, a distal end, an outer circumference, and an inner circumference, a notched portion, a plunger rail interface, and an asymmetrical ramped portion in the inner circumference, and a safety shield locking tab near the proximal end of the reset component configured to interact with the safety shield to lock the safety shield in an extended position. The training device may further include a reset spring associated with the rotatable reset component, wherein an interaction between the asymmetrical projection and the asymmetrical ramped portion of the reset component causes rotational and axial movement of the reset component toward the proximal end of the outer housing, loads the reset spring, and releases the contact between the safety shield locking tab and the safety shield to unlock the safety shield and reset the device.

Abstract: A container for delivering a medicament to a target location includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, the housing including a cap locking tab at the distal end, and a vial containing medicament.
