    摘要: A laser array light source unit 1 includes: a plurality of semiconductor lasers 2 each including a main body portion 2a and a leg portion 2b with two leading electrodes; a laser holder 3 holding the main body portions 2a, and having through-holes for the leg portions 2b; a pressing member 5 for fixing the semiconductor lasers 2 to the laser holder 3; an insulator 4 including a plurality of electrode insertion portions 4f having through-holes for the leading electrodes; and a wiring base 6 for electrically connecting at least two of the semiconductor lasers 2 in series. The insulator 4 includes a connecting portion 4b for connecting the plurality of electrode insertion portions 4f in the same direction in which the plurality of semiconductor lasers 2 are arranged. The wiring base 6 includes first through-holes into which the leading electrodes of the semiconductor lasers 2 are inserted.

    摘要: A lighting device configured to efficiently combine light beams emitted from a plurality of light sources, and to emit high output light while minimizing light loss, and a projection type display apparatus including the lighting device. The lighting device includes: a first light source and a second light source; two converging lenses for converging light beams emitted from the first and second light sources; two right-angle prisms for bending the light beams emitted from the first and second light sources; and a composite rod integrator for combining the light beams emitted from the first and second light sources. Between an exit surface of each right-angle prism and an incident surface of the composite rod integrator, a predetermined air gap is provided. The focal point of each converging lens is located on an incident surface of each right-angle prism.

    摘要: The present invention provides a presentation system, a display device, and a program which realize a smoother presentation performance in case where information a presenter wishes to refer to is displayed in a terminal but not in a display device. The presentation system of the present invention is structured, for instance, by connecting a PC 100 and a projector 200 via a LAN 50. A display unit of the PC 100 can be set up to display information including, for example, explanatory notes, but when making the projector 200 display an image, the information will not be displayed by executing a data modification which makes the information invisible. The information such as the explanatory notes may be placed at an arbitrary location on the display unit 102 and this enables a smoother presentation performance.

    摘要: A projection display system includes: two light sources (102, 105); a condenser (103, 106) for condensing the light from the light sources; a time-division color separating optical system (108) for temporally switching the incident light into a first, second, or third color of light to be emitted; a light valve (118) capable of modulating the incident light individually for each pixel; a lighting optical system (111, 112, 114) for directing the light from the time-division color separating optical system onto the light valve, and a projection optical system (123) for magnifying and projecting a pixel on the light valve. The light from the two light sources (102, 105) is condensed on the time-division color separating optical system or its vicinity by the condenser (103, 106), and then superimposed. This can provide a projection display system that performs time-division driving and can achieve high-brightness projection images without increasing the size and cost of a system.

    摘要: The present invention includes: a rolled filter stretched between first and second winding shafts and, unused part of the filter being wound around the second winding shaft; a brush provided between the first and the second winding shafts so as to come into contact with a surface of the filter; a feeding mechanism for driving the first and the second winding shafts to take up or rewind the filter; and a feeding control unit for controlling the feeding mechanism. When activating a renewing operation for feeding unused part of the filter from the second winding shaft, the feeding control unit controls the feeding mechanism such that once the filter is taken up by the first winding shaft by an take-up amount La, the filter is rewound by the second winding shaft by a rewind amount Lb, and La and Lb satisfy a relationship La≧Lb. Without increasing the amount of the filter or the size of the device itself, the present invention can deliver adequate performance even in a dusty environment by a small number of filter renewing operations.
