Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products of EPC paging for access points are provided. One method includes receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), wireless local area network (WLAN) capability information of a user equipment (UE), including the WLAN capability information of the UE in a “UE radio capability information for paging” information element (IE), and providing the UE radio capability information to an evolved node B (eNB). The eNB decides, based on the received WLAN capability information, whether to page the UE via E-UTRAN or to notify the UE via WLAN.
Abstract:
Systems and techniques for changing between secondary cells in dual connectivity communication. A user device (110A) operating in dual connectivity with a master base station (102) and a source base station (106A) transmits a change request to a target secondary base station (106B), seeking a connection change to a target base station that is to be used as the secondary base station. The target base station (106B) notifies the master base station (102) of the change request, and the master base station performs changeover operations—for example, notifying the source base station (106A) that it is no longer to be used in dual connectivity with the user device (110A) making the request, and notifying the user device (110A) that the change request has been accepted, with the user device (110A) then proceeding to establish connection with the target secondary base station (106B).
Abstract:
A technique is provided for retransmitting data in a dual connectivity network in which a mobile station (MS) is connected to a first base station (BS) via a first radio link and to a second BS via a second radio link, including sending, by a first protocol entity of the MS, a protocol data unit (PDU) to a first entity of a second protocol of the MS for transmission to the first BS via the first radio link, detecting a trigger condition at the MS associated with the PDU, and re-sending, by the first protocol entity of the MS, the PDU to a second entity of the second protocol of the MS for transmission to the second BS via the second radio link.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods, apparatuses and computer program product relating to guaranteed periods of inactivity for network listening modes. The present invention includes configuring a measurement configuration message, the measurement configuration message including measurement gap information, and transmitting the measurement configuration message to at least two user equipments connected to the base station, wherein the measurement gap information included in the measurement configuration message is the same for each of the at least two user equipments.
Abstract:
A method of scheduling resources in a communications link wherein a scheduling request is transmitted from a first entity to a second entity including determining if any of the following conditions exist: the time elapsed since the last scheduling request exceeds a designated time; the up-link requirement exceeds a predetermined level; or semi-persistent scheduling exists; and if so, suppressing the transmission and/or triggering of scheduling requests.
Abstract:
There are provided measures for control of data rate boosts in radio access networks. Such measures exemplarily comprise, at an access node in a mobile network, receiving (S51), from a core network entity in said mobile network, an indication in relation to a data rate boost with respect to an uplink flow of a terminal, and preparing (S52) said data rate boost based on said indication.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus management of dual connectivity in wireless communications. A master base station belonging to a wireless communication network including the master base station and a secondary cell group including at least one secondary base station, configures one or more secondary cell group bearers for a secondary base station. Configuring the secondary cell group bearer includes configuring an inactivity timer for the secondary cell group. The inactivity timer is configured to indicate that, if no activity has occurred on the secondary cell group bearer during pendency of the inactivity timer, the secondary cell group bearer is to be released. The master base station then signals the configuration to the secondary base station.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products of PRACH selection and random access response (RAR) detection are provided. One method includes specifying, by a network node, a starting point for preamble repetition having a repetition level such that all user equipment (UEs) of the same repetition level start the preamble repetition on a same physical random access channel (PRACH) resource, determining when a series of the preamble repetition is over, and transmitting a random access response (RAR) when the repetition series is finished.
Abstract:
A communication is executed between a user equipment and a communication network based on carrier aggregation using a first group of at least two PUCCH groups, the first group including a primary serving cell that carries a first PUCCH, and first serving cells which use the first PUCCH, and a second group of the at least two PUCCH groups, the second group including a secondary serving cell that carries a second PUCCH, and second serving cells which use the second PUCCH. In case a predetermined condition occurs, the communication is continued by exchanging the first group by the second group wherein the secondary serving cell that carries the second PUCCH becomes the primary serving cell and vice versa.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising receiving first information at a user equipment, said first information indicative of whether a first cell supports the user equipment and starting a connection procedure to the first cell if the first information indicates that the first cell supports the user equipment, after receiving the first information.
