摘要： A double-skin construction panel having its outer skin spaced-apart from its inner skin. The panels are adapted to be assembled without exposed fasteners. A positive mechanical connection between the outer skin and the foamed-in-place panel core is provided. The panels have mating elements in the outer skin to provide for positive mechanical engagement of adjacent outer sheets when the panels are assembled in use.

摘要： Coating apparatus wherein a pretreated sheet metal ribbon passes from a supply coil successively through entry rolls, coating rolls, a curing oven, cooling apparatus, and tension rolls to a recoiler. The ribbon extends through the coating rolls and the curing oven as a long-span catenary. No looping facility is required. The apparatus incorporates novel leading end gripper means and trailing end gripper means for establishing and terminating the catenary in a manner which minimizes the unusable length of ribbon, that is, the uncoated leading end and uncoated trailing end of the processed ribbon. A method of initiating, maintaining, and terminating the catenary is disclosed.

摘要： An upward acting sectional door is disclosed having pinch-resistant joints and hinges. The hinges have a top member securable to the upper panel and a base member securable to the lower panel. The base member and top member are connected by first and second links, each of which have a first end pivotally connected to the top member and a second end pivotally connected to the base member. The geometry of the links insures that a foot which depends from the upper panel is always spaced closely enough to the lower panel that a person cannot easily insert a fingertip into the joint. The foot also acts to push a fingertip away from the joint as the door is closed. A door seal on each panel moves to engage the adjacent panel when the door is closed, but lifts away as the door opens.

摘要： A universal cost minimizing mail arbitrator (UCMA) selects an optimum zip code result from a plurality of zip code results received from a plurality of mail processing directory match modules (DMM). The UCMA primarily has a cost tuner and an arbitration controller. The cost tuner receives truthed input for truthed mail, and user-defined cost profile parameters. The cost tuner determines an average weighted cost (AWC) for each DMM based upon the truthed input, to form a cost profile. The AWC is sorted in the cost profile based upon the Level of Sort (LOS) for the zip code result. The cost tuner gathers the cost profiles for each DMM together to form a cost profile array for all the DMMs. The arbitration controller receives the zip code results from the DMMs for each LOS code, and determines the lowest cost zip code result from amongst the various LOS codes based upon the AWC in the cost profile array. The arbitration controller selects the optimum zip code result based upon the lowest cost zip code result.

摘要： A back support belt formed of a relatively rigid material having a width of 31/2 to 6 inches and a method of limiting the movement of a person in preventing lower back injury are disclosed.
