In the preprocessing mode, the moving unit 13c is controlled based on the detecting result of the base end sensor 15 and moved in forward and backward directions using the base end position 15a as a reference point, and the amount of adjustment is calculated based on the supply time for which power is supplied while the moving unit 13c is moved in the forward direction and the supply time for which power is supplied while the moving unit 13c is moved in backward direction.

The shutter operating mechanism has a first shaft, a second shaft, a first link arm, and a second link arm, a third link arm, and an operating lever. The first shaft is positioned on the housing. The first link arm is capable of swinging about the first shaft and has the operating lever. The second shaft is positioned adjacent to and parallel to the first shaft, is rotatably attached to the housing, and is linked to the shutter via the third link arm. The second link arm is attached to the second shaft in such a manner as to be restricted in relative rotation but capable of swinging about the second shaft, and is swing-driven by the first link arm.

    摘要: A walk-behind work machine having a foldable operating handle is disclosed. The operating handle is swingable and foldable about a first linking pin relative to a handle-attachment part of a work-machine body from a usage position to a storage position and can be locked in a usage position by a second linking pin. The second linking pin is present on one of the operating handle and the handle-attachment part, and the distal end part of the second linking pin is formed in a tapered shape. The other of the operating handle and the handle-attachment part has a second pin-fitting hole allowing insertion and retraction of the distal end part. When the distal end part is fit into the second pin-fitting hole, no gap is present in the second pin-fitting hole due to the tapered surface of the distal end part, and the operating handle is locked in the usage position.

    摘要: A postal material reading apparatus is provided with a mechanism for obtaining an image signal which represents a visual image of the surface of postal material. A detector is provided responsive to that image signal for identifying an area of that image which contains an edge mark that may interfere with orientation analysis of the image. A detector is also provided responsive to the identification of that area for analyzing the image signal for only that portion of the image signal which represents the image outside the area in which the edge mark was detected, to determine the orientation of the postal material. In the preferred embodiment, a histogram is used to identify the area of the image which contains the potentially interfering edge mark.

    摘要: A walk-behind lawnmower is provided with a height-adjusting mechanism for adjusting the height of a housing above the ground. The walk-behind lawnmower further comprises an operating button for switching an adjustment operation of the height-adjusting mechanism from a restricted state to a permissive state; and a height-adjusting grip capable of being grasped by a hand so as to raise or lower the housing when the operating button is operated, and the adjustment operation of the height-adjusting mechanism is thereby permitted. The height-adjusting grip is provided to the housing in the vicinity of a left or right lateral part. The operating button is positioned in an area allowing operation by a finger of the hand grasping the height-adjusting grip.
