摘要: The invention relates to an image sensing apparatus and method which form an image by using radiation including visible light, X-rays, and the like (which is generically called light in the invention), and also relates to a -one- or two-dimensional image sensing apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus, a digital copying machine, a still camera, or a radiation image sensing apparatus, and an image sensing method. This image sensing apparatus uses a photo-electric conversion device. The image sensing apparatus has an image sensing means including a plurality of photo-electric elements arranged one- or two-dimensionally to obtain image information with a high S/N ratio by solving the problem that errors contained in the photographic output cannot be completely corrected because of the differences between the conditions set to obtain data to be used for correction and the conditions set for actual photographing operation. The image sensing apparatus includes a means for storing a photographic output in the photographic mode, a means for storing photographic conditions in the photographic mode, means for obtaining a correction output in the correction mode which is activated by using the stored photographic conditions, and a means for correcting the photographic output by using the correction output. With this arrangement, correction data is acquired under operation conditions set in accordance with operation conditions in photographing operation.

摘要: In a photoelectric conversion device for reading signals in succession from plural photoelectric converting elements (S11-S33), arranged two-dimensionally on a substrate, by successively scanning drive lines (g1-g3) in the X-direction thereby transferring signals charges along signal lines in the Y-direction, for reading the signals of the photoelectric converting elements in a partial area, only the arbitrarily selected drive lines for the plural photoelectric converting elements are scanned in succession while the remaining drive lines are not driven or are driven simultaneously for transferring the charges at a timing different from the timing of drive of the arbitrarily selected drive lines.

摘要: A master plate transporting system automatically detects the presence/absence of master plates accommodated in a container and also detects the position of each master plate in the container as well as the type of the container being used. In this arrangement, the master plate transporting system executes the automatic transporting operation without transport errors. Containers each holding one or more reticles, are positioned in a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus. A reticle detection sensor detects the presence and the position of the reticle in each container. A controller controls the transporting operation of a reticle transporting mechanism based on the detection results of the detection sensor to reliably retrieve the reticle, transport it to an exposure system, and return it to the container.

摘要: A vehicle axle suspension system including wheel support members for rotatably supporting road wheels, a suspension member for supporting the road wheel support members for vertical swinging movement, and elastic suspension elements. The elastic suspension elements include a pair of front elastic suspension elements provided at different suspension points in front of the road wheel support members for elastically mounting the suspension member to the vehicle and a pair of rear elastic suspension elements provided at different suspension points behind the road wheel support members for elastically mounting the suspension member to the vehicle. The elastic suspension elements are positioned to provide an understeer characteristic when a lateral force acts on a suspension roll center determined by suspension geometry to rotate the suspension member around a virtual roll axis extending through an elastic center of the front elastic suspension elements and an elastic center of the rear elastic suspension elements.
