Abstract: An endoscope system includes an image forming section configured to arrange first and second images obtained by picking up images of first and second regions of a subject to be adjacent to each other to form an image of one frame, a light source section configured to emit illumination light based on a brightness evaluation of the image to the first and second regions, a brightness-range calculating section configured to detect minimum and maximum luminance values in the first and second images, and an image processing section configured to perform a luminance shift such that a minimum or maximum luminance value of an image, a luminance range of which is smaller than a predetermined luminance range, among the first and second images coincides with a predetermined luminance lower limit or upper limit value.

Abstract: An endoscope includes: an elongated insertion section; a side observation window that includes a tapered part on a side circumference intersecting in a longitudinal axis direction of the insertion section, and includes a circumferential side surface formed in a cone shape; and a cleaning nozzle that includes an opening part through which liquid cleaning the circumferential side surface of the side observation window is ejected. The opening part is inclined to direct an ejection direction of the liquid toward a distal end of the tapered part. A center position of the opening part of the cleaning nozzle is provided on proximal end side with respect to a center position of the side observation window in the longitudinal axis direction.

Abstract: An endoscopic treatment tool includes: a tubular insertion part; a stopper having a through hole and provided at a distal end part of the insertion part; a manipulation wire inserted through the insertion part; a treatment part provided at a distal end part of the manipulation wire and inserted through the through hole; and a restriction member provided closer to a proximal end side than the stopper and connecting the treatment part and the manipulation wire. When the restriction member is pressed against the stopper, the treatment part is locked not to be rotated about an axis of the insertion part with respect to the insertion part, and an opening causing a fluid to flow from an inside of the insertion part to the through hole is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the restriction member.

Abstract: An endoscope system includes: an insertion portion; a first image acquisition portion; second image acquisition portions; and an image generation portion that, when displaying a first object image and second object images on a monitor in a manner in which the second object images are caused to be displayed adjacently to the first object image on both sides thereof, generates image signals that express perspective by performing image processing that makes a magnification of the second object images higher than a magnification of the first object image so that an image height of regions towards sides that are away from the first object image in the second object images gradually increases relative to an image height of regions that are adjacent to the first object image in the second object images.
