Abstract: A suture device including: an elongated shaft member; a pair of gripping members; and a passing mechanism that transfers a suture needle between the gripping members, wherein the passing mechanism is provided with fitting holes provided in the individual gripping members and to which the suture needle is fitted, holding members that are inserted into recessed portions in outer circumferential surface of the suture needle by being pulled toward the proximal end sides thereof in directions that intersect axes of the individual fitting holes, a swing member that is provided so as to be swingable about an axis that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, a pair of tensile-force transmitting members that transmit tensile forces that cause the swing member to be swung, axial-force transmitting members that transmit axial forces associated with swinging of the swing member, and hold-state maintaining mechanism that maintains the holding members in the recessed portions.

Abstract: A suture body includes: a suture thread having a first end and a second end and fixed to a living tissue; a suture needle connected to the first end; and a thread fixing member connected to the second end. The thread fixing member includes: a rod-shaped protruding portion; and an elastic member having an outer circumferential surface and arranged so that the thread fixing member is in contact with the outer circumferential surface at a predetermined contact pressure. The suture body is configured so that the suture thread can enter between the protruding portion and the elastic member by elastically deforming the elastic member. The suture body further includes a base body to which the protruding portion and the elastic member are fixed. The protruding portion and the elastic member are arranged in an area surrounded by an outer diameter of the base body.

Abstract: A device suturing device includes a flexbile tubular insertion portion; a suturing portion disposed at a distal end portion thereof holding a tubular anchor through which a suture thread is insertable; an operation portion disposed at a proximal end portion of the insertion portion; and a suture thread grasping portion inserted through the insertion portion and insertable through the anchor, wherein the suturing portion includes an installation surface on which the anchor is held; a pressing member including a convex portion being arranged to face the installation surface for pressing the anchor; and a driver operating the pressing member via the operation portion, wherein a concave portion is formed on the installation surface into which the convex portion is enterable, and the anchor is sandwiched between the concave portion and the convex portion to be swaged and deformed such that the suture thread is fixed to the anchor.

Abstract: A tissue removal system is provided which enables optimally performing a full-thickness resection of a hollow organ while minimizing invasiveness. In this tissue removal system, a tissue pressing tool which has a tissue contacting part and which is guided into the abdominal cavity, and a resection and anastomosis device work together. The resection and anastomosis device resects and performs anastomosis of tissue positioned between a main body and an anvil part, and, when pressing the tissue to be cut to the cutting position of the resection and anastomosis device by means of the tissue contacting part, the tissue contacting part is pressed against two abutment parts of the resection and anastomosis device.
