    Abstract: A method of analysing and identifying particles in an input fluid by electrical field analysis preferably in combination with imaging analysis and towards establishing characterises of the particles that can be compared with characteristics of known particles, preferably biologic particles such as bacteria and viruses. Preferably in a focusing step, the particles are focused as in a microfluidic particle sorting cartridge followed by electrical field analysis to determine impedance data. Preferably, the electrical field analysis is carried out in a water and alcohol solution.

    Abstract: A method comprising passing a fluid through a negative sorting device. The negative sorting device produces a negatively sorted stream of the fluid from which any particles present in the fluid that are above a threshold size have been removed. The negatively sorted stream is analyzed to obtain a measure of a concentration of particles of interest in the negatively sorted stream. The particles of interest have a size that is less than or equal to the threshold size.

    Abstract: A hand cleaner fluid dispenser, including a reservoir for containing hand cleaner fluid to be dispensed; a dispenser outlet for discharge of the hand cleaner fluid from the reservoir; and a discharge mechanism operable to discharge a drop of the hand cleaner fluid from the dispenser outlet when activated. A levitator device is incorporated into the hand cleaner fluid dispenser, and is operable to levitate the drop of hand cleaner fluid at a position where the drop is accessible to be taken by a user's hand.
