Further still, injecting the ion flow from the mixing region into at least one ion mobility assembly of the ion mobility device, the at least one ion mobility assembly comprising at least one mobility tube; and, detecting the ions from the ion flow exiting the ion mobility assembly.

    摘要: Accurate, real-time formation fluids analysis can be accomplished using the systems and techniques described herein. A fluid analyzer includes a first mode of analysis, such as an optical analyzer, configured to determine a physical (optical) property of a fluid sample. The fluid analyzer also includes another mode of analysis, such as a composition analyzer, such as a gas chromatographer, configured to determine an elemental composition of the fluid sample. A data processor is configured to determine a quantity, such as a weight percentage, of a target component of the fluid sample in response results obtained from the first and second modes of analysis. Beneficially, the results are obtained at least in near real-time, allowing for interim results, such as results from the first analyzer to be used for one or more of tuning the compositional analyzer and for implementing quality control.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for analyzing gas-oil-water compounds in oilfield and other applications are disclosed using terahertz radiation. A sample analyzer includes a sample chamber having a fluid communication port configured to receive the sample. The analyzer also includes a filter to filter samples and selectively remove oil, water or gas from reservoir mixture received by the sample chamber. A terahertz (THz) radiation detector is provided in electromagnetic communication with the sample. The terahertz detector provides a detected output signal indicative of the terahertz electromagnetic radiation detected from the sample. In some embodiments, the device also includes a terahertz source illuminating the sample, the terahertz detector detecting a portion of the terahertz source illumination as modified by the sample. The detected portion of the spectrum of terahertz radiation can be processed to analyze the composition of the sample.

    摘要: A reference measurement apparatus for a multiphase flow meter comprising: a sampling and measuring chamber coupled to a sampling port via a sample transfer line for extracting the sample having at least one of the gas phase and the liquid phase from the multiphase fluid mixture flowing through the pipe section; a pressure and temperature regulation arrangement arranged to maintain the sample from the sampling port to the sampling and measuring chamber at a pressure/temperature substantially similar to the pressure/temperature of the multiphase fluid mixture flowing through the pipe section; and a second fraction measurement device arranged to estimate a linear attenuation related to the at least one of the gas phase and the liquid phase extracted from the sample, said linear attenuation being used to correct the estimated representative fraction for the at least one of the gas phase and the liquid phase of the multiphase fluid mixture.
