    摘要: An electrode-coating glass composition of the present invention satisfies −9.5≦A≦−4, 3000≦B≦3900 and 240≦C≦320 in Fulcher's equation logη=A+B/(T−C), which defines the temperature (T[° C.]) dependence of viscosity (η[dPa·s]). Furthermore, the absolute value |Δlogη| of the difference between values of logη at temperatures of 50° C. above and below a softening point is at least 4.2. Such an electrode-coating glass composition can be achieved, for example, by a glass composition containing at least one of BaO and Al2O3, and 40 to 66 wt % of PbO, 2 to 25 wt % of SiO2, 5 to 40 wt % of B2O3, 0 to 20 wt % of BaO, 0 to 8 wt % of Al2O3, 0 to 2 wt % of CuO, and 0 to 2 wt % of CeO2.

    摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) with excellent display quality, including a dielectric layer that does not contain lead, satisfies transmittance, insulation resistance and dielectric constant, and suppresses coloring. The PDP includes front panel and a rear panel disposed facing each other and sealed together at the peripheries thereof with discharge space provided therebetween. The front panel includes display electrodes, a dielectric layer and a protective layer on a front glass substrate. The rear panel includes electrodes, barrier ribs and phosphor layers on a substrate. In the PDP, the display electrode includes metal bus electrodes containing silver. The dielectric layer includes a first dielectric layer covering metal bus electrodes and containing bismuth oxide, and a second dielectric layer covering the first dielectric layer and containing bismuth oxide. The thickness ratio of the second dielectric layer to the first dielectric layer is 1.3 or more and 7.2 or less.

Front panel has display electrodes including first electrodes and second electrodes formed on a front glass substrate, and a dielectric layer covering display electrodes. Further, the first electrodes and the dielectric layer include glass frit, which contains at least one of molybdenum oxide, magnesium oxide and cerium oxide, and also include a softening point exceeding 550° C. The above-described makeup suppresses a coloring phenomenon in the dielectric layer and the front glass substrate, thereby implementing a plasma display panel with a high luminance.

    摘要: Disclosed is a PDP wherein a discharge space is formed by arranging a front plate (2) and a back plate as to face each other, and hermetically sealing around the front and back plates. The front plate (2) is obtained by forming at least a display electrode (6) and a dielectric layer (8) on a front glass substrate (3), and the back plate is obtained by forming an electrode, a partition wall and a phosphor layer on a substrate. The dielectric layer (8) is composed of a plurality of layers, namely a lower dielectric layer (8a) and an upper dielectric layer (8b), and the lower dielectric layer (8a) and the upper dielectric layer (8b) are made of the same material which contains CaO and BaO with the CaO content being more than the BaO content.

    摘要: The present invention provides a paint for forming an insulating film, which has a good wettability to a surface to be coated with the paint and has no voids or pin-holes after being fired; a plasma display panel including a dielectric layer formed using the paint; and a method of manufacturing the plasma display panel. The paint contains inorganic fine particles, a binder resin, and an organic solvent that has a good wettability to glass such as a glass substrate, ceramic as an Ag electrode, and a metal compound such as an ITO film and forms a contact angle of less than 5° with these inorganic materials. Accordingly, the paint has a good wettability to a glass substrate, an Ag electrode, and an ITO film and the resultant insulating film thus has no voids or pin-holes.

A paint mainly comprising a solated metal oxide or a metal alkoxide of an element with an atomic number not lower than 40 is painted to form an electron reflection coat with an amount of coating of less than 2 mg/cm2 so as to achieve coating on an electron gun side surface of a shadow mask. With this method, an electronic tube with good image quality can be manufactured.
