摘要： A hand power tool is described having a drive arrangement providing on initial energization of the unit automatic gripping of a tool. The drive arrangement includes a fluid pump which is driven by the motor of the tool when it is first started. The pump delivers fluid pressure to a chamber within the tool chuck and drives a piston therein which, in turn, drives the jaws of the chuck into clamping engagement with the tool piece shank. The jaws of the chuck are meshed with one another in a manner assuring that they uniformly move radially inward to grip the shank and align the tool with the rotational axis of the chuck.

摘要： An electric engine warming heater adapted to be magnetically secured to any selected portion of a vehicle engine. The heater includes a flat base member, which may be of magnetic material, having a top surface provided with slots in which are disposed electric heating coils. A housing secured to the top of base member covers encloses the heating coils. The top and two opposite sidewalls of the housing are formed by a permanent horse-shoe magnet. The other sidewalls of the housing are formed by flat plates secured to the legs of the horse-show magnet. A cyclindrical bar magnet is secured to the base portion of the horse-shoe magnet and projects downwardly therefrom into the center of a ring-shaped magnet secured to the base member.

摘要： An improved pneumatic hand tool having an automatic collet and brake arrangement is described. The tool includes an air motor for rotatably driving a spindle on the end of which is located a collet for gripping the shank of a tool implement it is desired to rotate. A collet draw bar extends from the rear end of the collet axially through the spindle beyond the air motor and terminates in an enlarged portion which is adapted to be engaged by a piston. The piston is constrained for axial movement within a cylinder at the end of the air motor and, in response to the application of fluid pressure thereto, engages the collet draw bar and drives the collet outwardly from the spindle in order to open the same for reception of the shank of the tool. The tool includes a multi-port valve which selectively directs fluid either to the air motor for rotating the spindle or to the piston for opening the collet. A compression spring is also provided for urging the piston into frictional engagement with the end of the draw bar whenever air pressure is diverted from the motor, so that the piston acts as a brake to the rotation of the draw bar and, hence, to the rotation of the collet and its associated tool.

摘要： A stator core wedging machine for carrying wedges from a preloaded magazine into the slots of a stator core, the wedging machine including a pickup assembly for carrying wedges from the magazine into the stator core. The pickup assembly includes a plurality of fingers which are movable into the slots of the magazine to pick up the wedges and are retracted from the slots of the stator core to leave the wedges in position. The wedges are held on the ends between a plow on the fingers and a locking ring during the movement from the magazine into the stator core.

摘要： A disposable electrical plate for creating electrical contact with a human body comprises a flexible sheet of paper board, cardboard, or the like coated on both sides with a conductive foil film. One edge of the plate is formed into tabs which alternately wrap over and under a metal bar in a woven fashion to electrically connect the two foil film surfaces. To the opposing edge of the plate a clip with a notch, hook, or the like is secured. An electrical conductor secured to the metal bar completes a circuit to the plate. The plate may be wrapped around a limb of a subject to make electrical contact and then secured by positioning the conductor in the notch or hook, preventing the plate from unwrapping and breaking contact.
