Abstract: A battery includes a battery can including a cylindrical portion and a bottom portion, the cylindrical portion including an opening edge portion at one end portion of the cylindrical portion, the bottom portion closing the other end portion of the cylindrical portion; an electrode body housed in the cylindrical portion; a sealing member sealing an opening of the opening edge portion; and a fixing member fixing the sealing member to the battery can. The fixing member compresses the first gasket in a direction in which the external peripheral edge portion and the opening edge portion face each other, the fixing member compressing the first gasket via the external peripheral edge portion and the opening edge portion.
