摘要: A scanner for scanning an increased area of a finger held or pressed on a concave elliptically cylindrical surface having two focal axes includes a linear light source positioned at one focal axis of a first reflective cylindrical elliptical surface, the other focal axis coinciding with one focal axis of the concave elliptical surface in contact with the finger. A second reflective, cylindrical elliptical surface has two focal axes where one of the axes coincides with the position of a linear array combination of photosensitive elements and charged coupled devices and the other coincides with the other focal axis of the concave elliptical surface in contact with the finger. The linear light source resides within a scanning drum having a longitudinal opening or slit and suitable rotated whereby a line of light is projected along the cylindrical elliptical surface of the first reflective surface whereby light rays are reflected to the finger contact surface to scan a finger held thereon and then totally internally reflected to the second reflective surface and then reflected therefrom as an image on the linear array.

摘要: A computer system teams its network resource ports on a per virtual network basis. The system configures one or more virtual networks. For each of the one or more configured virtual networks, the system establishes a team comprising two or more of the network resource ports. The system selects a layer2 address that is uniquely associated with one of the ports of the team. The system assigns the selected unique layer2 address to be the primary layer2 address for the team.

摘要: A dual filter pump assembly provides a portable, typically hand-powered vacuum and pressure pump that alternatively creates a vacuum or negative pressure and positive pressure which force a liquid to be filtered through various passageways and chambers in a base and through a coarse filter medium and a micro filter medium. A lower check valve and an upper check valve maintain synchronized communication between the passageways, such that there is sufficient pressure and flow regulation to force the liquid through micro-sized pores in the generally flow restrictive micro filter medium. The micro-sized pores may be susceptible to inhibiting the flow of the liquid, and consequently generate pressure build up inside the pump and filter chambers. In some embodiments, a relief valve may help release the excess fluid pressure build up in the pump and filter chambers. The relief valve may additionally provide an indication of when the micro filter medium requires cleaning, such as in the event that some of the liquid exits a relief port in the relief valve.

摘要: A method for flowing data, such as text data, into an arbitrary path defined by a page description language specification (“PDL specification”) generally comprises the steps of: identifying a path defined in the PDL specification as a datawrapping path; associating a data block with the data-wrapping path; and generating a bitmap representation of the data block according to the path boundary and according to a predefined flow rule. Preferably, the identifying step includes the steps of associating a graphics state with the path and storing the graphics state in memory, and the generating step includes the step of applying the stored graphics state to the data block. Therefore, the generating step can be repeated for multiple data blocks to generate multiple bit map representations. The text wrapping path is preferably identified in the PDL specification by an attribute string associated with the path. Therefore, when the wrapping path is identified, the graphic states of the attribute string are saved in memory and are then subsequently applied to the data blocks when the bitmap representations of the data blocks are generated.

摘要: A door mounting tool is used for mounting a door to a door jamb and includes a frame having a base frame member for holding the base of a door and an end frame member hingedly attached to the base frame member for holding one edge of a door. A plurality of door holding members are movably attached to the frame for locking the door to the base frame member and to the end frame member. A plurality of side support members may be either hingedly or fixedly attached to the side of the base frame member and each has an adjustable leg extending therefrom for adjusting the height of the base frame member adjacent a door jamb. There is at least one wheel mounted to the base frame member at one end thereof for rolling the frame therein when a door is attached thereto so that a door can be mounted to the door mounting tool and positioned for hanging the door to a door jamb and for moving the door around a job site like a door cart or dolly. The base frame member and the end frame member are each U-channels hinged together and the plurality of door holding members are threaded through one side of each U-channel member for driving the edge of a door against one edge of each U-frame member. The end frame member can be folded onto the base frame member and the plurality of side support members folded adjacent the base frame member for storage of the door mounting tool.

摘要: A computer system teams its network resources by apportioning each of the one or more network resources into one of two or more groups. The resources of each of the groups have links that are operative to be coupled in parallel to a different one of two or more network devices that provide connectivity to a network. One of the two or more groups is selected to be a primary group. A team layer2 address is assigned to one of the resources apportioned to the selected group. Each of the resources of the selected group is enabled to receive on the team layer2 address. The network device to which the selected group is coupled is enabled to load balance data received from the network among the resources of the selected group. Data transmitted from the system to the network is load-balanced over all of the resources independent of the group to which they belong.
