The volume of sample admitted into the bag is controlled so as to avoid stretching the wall of the bag.

    摘要: A carbon nanostructured micro-fabricated gas chromatography column which is particularly well-suited to the surface well-site and/or the downhole analysis of natural gas in oilfield or gasfield applications (but which may also be used in non-oilfield or non-gasfield situations) is described. This micro-fabricated column integrates a micro-structured substrate such as a silicon substrate with carbon nanotubes as an active nanostructured material in a micro-channel. Benefits of the present invention include enhanced separation of alkanes and isomers, particularly below hexane (i.e., below C6), as well as the separation of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and water and other substances present in natural gas. The chromatography column of the present invention is in one embodiment a part of an entire gas chromatograph system that in its simplest form also comprises an injector and a detector. Preferably the injector, separation column, and detector are all micro-fabricated on a substrate.

    摘要: A sample of fluid such as a gaseous fluid leaving a liquid/gas separator in a surface installation of an oil well, is taken continuously via a sampling tube. The tube opens out on the axis of a gas outlet pipe, facing towards the separator receptacle and located at the junction between the pipe and the receptacle. Sampling is performed isokinetically by regulating the flow rate in the tube by means of a regulator valve controlled by a regulator as a function of flow rates measured in the tube and in the pipe. In the tube, liquid is separated from the gas by means of a filter.

The system includes a multiphase sampling apparatus attachable to the flowline, and a vehicle sampling apparatus that is connectable to the multiphase sampling apparatus to allow the transfer of the collected fluid sample thereto. The vehicle sampling apparatus is preferably a subsea remotely operated vehicle (ROV) locatable proximate the fluid flowline and having a fluid sample collector and a fluid pump for transferring the collected fluid sample from the multiphase sampling apparatus to the fluid sample collector. The vehicle sampling apparatus includes a fluid analysis sensor capable of extracting information about the collected fluid sample at a subsea location.
