Abstract:
A conglomerated material based on metallurgical by-products and characterized in that it contains 2-10% of fibers, 9-25% wt of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, and % wt of water.
Abstract:
A method of and a device for controlling the orientation and the alignment of individual sheets of paper travelling on a sheet conveyor are provided. Each sheet passes over a pair of closely spaced rotating disks inserted between upstream and downstream sheet conveyor sections. Each sheet is locally engaged with each disk in a limited contact area. The contact areas between the sheet and each disk are varied so as to achieve a target orientation or alignment of the sheet.
Abstract:
An oven with air convection combustion, particularly for bakehouses (bread, pastries, cakes), to achieve considerable economy of energy and to improve efficiency has primary and secondary air circuits sealed and closed, the secondary air being heated in ducts surrounding the fire-box and exhaust conduits and admitted into the baking chamber through adjustable nozzles. The cooled secondary air leaving oven is recycled by the a turbine. A vapor generator is formed from metal tubes extending into the exhaust gas conduit and the vapor is fed to a ramp pierced with calibrated holes disposed vertically in the baking chamber through which it is disposed into the chamber after being saturated by a water injector.
Abstract:
Calcium hydroxide particles with very high reactivity exhibiting an X-ray diffraction line at d=0.49 nm obtained by the Debye-Scherrer powder method with an intensity below 50% of the intensity of a traditional hydrated lime with a specific surface area of 15.8 m2/g.
Abstract:
A pierce and fill connector cap for a vial sealed by an elastomeric septum includes a vial collar and a needle holder. The vial collar body defines a collar aperture to be positioned in overlying registry with the septum of the vial, and the needle holder includes a needle holder body providing a means for holding an elongate needle in registry with the collar aperture. The needle holder body being moveable with respect to said vial collar between a first position spaced from the vial collar and a second position proximate the vial collar, such that a needle held by the needle holder will puncture through the vial septum.
