Abstract: A heating unit for an exhaust-gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a heating-unit housing for conducting an exhaust-gas in a main flow direction. A plurality of heating elements are arranged in the heating-unit housing and are shaped in a meandering manner. Each heating element has a plurality of plate-like heating sections which follow one another in a heating-element longitudinal direction. The heating sections of each heating element are connected to one another via respective connecting sections. Each heating element has two connection regions which are arranged at a distance from one another. In each connection region, the heating elements are electrically conductively connected to a connection region of a further heating element.

Abstract: A heating system for a vehicle includes a reaction space (16) containing a first reactant (22) and a reactant storage space (20) containing or/and receiving a second reactant (24), wherein the first reactant and the second reactant form such a reaction system. A reaction of the first reactant with the second reactant produces a reaction product that releases heat. The second reactant can be separated from the first reactant by introducing heat into the reaction product. A reactant-releasing device (26) releases second reactant from the reactant storage space into the reaction space (16). A first heat removal device (58) removes heat from the first reactant or/and reaction product contained in the reaction space (16). A heating unit (52) heats the first reactant or/and heats the reaction product contained in the reaction space. A reactant-recirculating device (36) recirculates second reactant from the reaction space into the reactant storage space.

Abstract: A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell having an anode region and a cathode region. The fuel cell defines an anode inlet to permit feeding the anode region with hydrogen and defines a cathode inlet to permit feeding the cathode region with oxygen. The fuel cell has an anode outlet and has a cathode outlet. An anode outlet conduit receives anode offgas at the anode outlet and a catalytic converter is arranged so as to permit the anode offgas in the anode outlet conduit to flow therethrough. A cathode outlet conduit is arranged for receiving cathode offgas at the cathode outlet. A cathode branch conduit connects the cathode outlet conduit to the anode outlet conduit upstream of the catalytic converter.
