Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques for applying redundancy mitigation rules when transmitting sensor data sharing messages. A method, performed by a sidelink user equipment (UE), includes observing, via one or more sensors, a set of objects in an environment in which the sidelink UE is operating, applying one or more redundancy mitigation rules to the set of objects, determining, from the set of objects, a number of objects to be shared with one or more other sidelink UEs after the one or more redundancy mitigation rules have been applied to the set of objects, determining, based on the determined number of objects to be shared, whether to transmit a sensor data sharing message (SDSM) to the one or more other sidelink UEs indicating the objects to be shared from the set of objects, and taking one or more actions based on the determination of whether to transmit the SDSM.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle may transmit to another vehicle an inter-vehicle message with a driving maneuver request for a driving maneuver to be executed by the vehicle. The inter-vehicle message may include one or more estimated parameters, such as temporal, spatial, or trajectory parameters, for the driving maneuver. The inter-vehicle message may include further includes an indication of an estimation accuracy for the one or more estimated parameters. A UE in a vehicle that receives the inter-vehicle message may determine whether to grant, reject, or submit a counter-proposal to the request based at least in part on the estimated parameters and the indication of the estimation accuracy for the estimated parameters. A response to the maneuver request may be transmitted to the requesting vehicle that grants, rejects, or provides a counter proposal to the maneuver request.

An apparatus at a first UE associated with a remote vehicle receives a message comprising at least one of a lane change request or a lane space reservation from a second UE. The apparatus determines whether to accept the lane change request or the lane space reservation from the second UE and transmits a response to the message accepting or rejecting the lane change request or the lane space reservation.

For example, a method may include a receiving user equipment (UE) (115) identifying a measurement accuracy threshold associated with reporting a sensor measurement over a wireless communication link (125, 135) to the receiving UE (115). The receiving UE (115) may then transmit, to a measuring UE (115), a configuration indicating the measurement accuracy threshold for reporting to the receiving UE (115). The measuring UE (115) may make sensor measurements and identify measurement data that satisfies the measurement accuracy threshold based on the received configuration. The measuring UE (115) may then transmit, over the wireless communication link (125, 135), the subset of measurement data that satisfies the measurement accuracy threshold. The measuring UE (115) may refrain from transmitting a different subset of measurement data that does not satisfy the measurement accuracy threshold. Thus, improving communication quality by reducing the transmission of unnecessary sensor data and reducing over-the-air congestion.

The UE may transmit, to one or more second UEs, a sensor sharing message that includes the position information of the object relative to the selected reference entity and an indication of the selected reference entity. The one or more second UEs may detect the position of the reference entity and determine the location of the detected object based on the position of the reference entity and the position of the detected object relative to the position of the reference entity.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) that transmits sensor data to another UE may also send information about the associated sensor and its performance. For example, the UE may determine a set of rules that apply to a sensor. The set of rules may define an association between a group of performance values and a group of performance levels corresponding to one or more metrics of the sensor. The UE may identify a performance value from the group of performance values for the sensor based on a performance level of the sensor and the set of rules. After determining the performance value, the UE may transmit an indication of the set of in a first data frame of a message and an indication of the performance value in a second data frame of the message.

Abstract: An ego vehicle determines an intended maneuver and identifies a first set of agents for coordinating the intended maneuver. The ego vehicle also determines a spatial distance for obtaining a level of communication reliability with the set of agents that is greater than a communication reliability threshold. The ego vehicle further applies the determined spatial distance to a sensor-sharing message. The ego vehicle also transmits the sensor-sharing message to a second set of agents within the determined range. The ego vehicle performs the intended maneuver.
