摘要: One aspect of the present application provides a Category M apparatus that communicates over a communication network. The apparatus comprises a processor and an interface. The processor is configured to generate a message requesting registration of the apparatus with a core network, the message generated to include at least one header indicating a power saving mode capability of the apparatus. The processor is further configured to schedule sleep periods and wakeup times for the apparatus. The interface is configured to transmit the message to the core network. The interface is further configured to receive a response, from the core network, including one or more parameters and one or more timers established by the core network based at least in part on the power saving mode capability of the apparatus.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may transition between a real-time texting (RTT) mode and a text teletypewriter (TTY) mode and vice versa, on a user equipment (UE). A UE may make a determine to transition between two texting modes while coordinating the transfer of text data between the different modes. Some wireless communications systems may also transition a UE between a packet switched network and a circuit switched network without loss of signal and consistent text data delivery during the communication without losing the text data during the transition between the two coverage areas. Transitioning between modes and networks may provide a user with interoperability and the benefit of conveniently switching between two modes without service interruption.

摘要: A person may utilize multiple connected devices, such as smart watches, user equipments (UEs), smartphones, tablet computers, and/or the like, which may each be assigned unique phone numbers. Operators may assign a common phone number to the multiple connected devices; however, the phone number is not used in the access stratum path of a radio access technology resulting in multiple paging procedures being performed for the multiple connected devices. In implementations, described herein, a first UE, such as a smartphone, may obtain paging information associated with decoding paging messages for a second UE, such as a smart watch. The first UE may use the paging information to decode a paging message of a combined paging cycle established for the first UE and the second UE, thereby obviating a need for multiple paging cycles for the first UE and the second UE.

The apparatus sends a request to a second UE for establishing a call connection, receives from the second UE an acknowledgment for establishing the call connection, establishes at least one first dedicated bearer between the first UE and a network for communicating media packets with the second UE, sends first dummy data to the second UE via the established at least one first dedicated bearer, receives at least one of second dummy data or a media packet from the second UE via the established at least one first dedicated bearer, and exchanges media packets with the second UE via the established at least one first dedicated bearer after receiving the at least one of the second dummy data or the media packet from the second UE.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided for managing packet data network (PDN) connectivity for a device. A device may receive one or more parameters specifying whether PDN connectivity to a local gateway is allowed for the device at one or more access points. The one or more parameters can be specific for the device and/or for one or more access point names. The device can determine whether to initiate a PDN connection to the local gateway from at least one of the one or more access points based at least in part on the one or more parameters.

摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus initiates a call attempt in an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) based on a dialed number, the dialed number including an emergency number. The apparatus receives a session initiation protocol (SIP) message in response to the call attempt. The apparatus determines in response to the SIP message whether to retry the call attempt as a normal call in a circuit-switched (CS) domain for an operator or as an emergency call in the CS domain for the operator. In an aspect, the determining is based at least in part on either an indication in the SIP message or on a characteristic of the operator.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for session initiation in a conference. In one aspect, a method for communicating between multiple parties is disclosed. The method comprises generating, at a first device, a first message for transmission to a second device. The method further comprises receiving, at the first device, a second message for establishing a conference. The second message includes a list of one or more concurrent codec capabilities supported by the second device. 摘要: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting bundles of silence indicator (SID) frames during a voice call among a plurality of access terminals. In an aspect, a source access terminal detects a transition to a silence state, generates, in response to detection of the transition, at least a first bundle of SID frames, wherein each SID frame of the at least the first bundle of SID frames includes data representing comfort noise to be played at one or more target access terminals of the plurality of access terminals during the silence state, and transmits the at least the first bundle of SID frames to a base station serving the source access terminal. In an aspect, the base station receives the at least the first bundle of SID frames, and periodically forwards SID frames of the at least the first bundle of SID frames to the one or more target access terminals.
